These shoes look fire. What’s the deal with Nike’s pro models, are they available in retail like it is with Asics?

Ah thank you. I think I might try them, pretty happy with my Asics but curious to mix things up this clay swingHe’s wearing something very close to the stock vapor 12 at this time. From 2021-2024 he wore the vapor pro 1 masqueraded in different colors and tooling
...mate I never even knew that golfers had signature shoesjust won the a 5th major and career slam without a sig shoe
Hah it’s really not common. Only Tiger has had sig shoes with Nike in the past handful of decades. My point is, unless you’re a bonafide goat in these lower revenue verticals, the sig shoe/branding may not come...mate I never even knew that golfers had signature shoes![]()
Thank you for the info!Apparently it’s a common issue, with the ‘solution’ being to buy a half size down from your ‘usual’ & use a runners’ knot with the extra holes.
Add this to the lack of a proprietary air unit in the forefoot - and the current lack of actual availability in Oz - and it’s a firm pass from me, despite the snazzy colours & design.
There’s certainly lots of other options out there and I’m really enjoying the ‘dating scene’ after my unexpected sneaker divorce, although there’s always the possibility of a hook up with the old flame if we’re ever in the same country again.
(Alcaraz certainly doesn’t wear the retail model, although his version is now closer in appearance than previously.)

This post might help - or obfuscate?Went to a shop and tried them on
I'm sure it's been discussed but here are some size/fit notes.
My normal size in most shoes is 11.
Size 11 in the Vapor 12 is what I would buy, little extra room in the toes, snug but not tight overall, felt pretty good everywhere.
HOWEVER, and it warrants caps, there was some clicking of the TPU on the medial side at the big toe joint. Basically right where your foot bends. Not only did it feel like there was extra material but it also would bend into the top of my foot a bit and cause some dsicomfort.
Tried size 10.5, overall much tigher on my foot. Toes weren't quite hitting the end but probably would on hard stops. I could probably live with this as I was interested in the clay version and stopping on clay isn't the same as on hard court.
The upside was no more clicking of the TPU at the toe joint.
So I'm torn, the size 11 is more how I want my shoes to fit but not with the discomfort caused by the TPU. They were out of my size in the sale colorway, so when the next ones go on sale I may try again.
Shoemakers really need to quit using TPU at key flex points because as hard as they try it is never as smooth as textile.
So my conclusion is they do run true to size or at least consistent with prior Nikes.
Look on YT how to do a runner's knot. It should help a lot.Thank you for the info!
Nick Kyrgios also wears them tho he almost is retired I guessAnyone know which players use the Vapor 12 please other than carlos?
And was Musetti the only Nike shoe wearer to wear the vapor 11?
Tried it and the shoe gets so tight that I experience the arch pain again. Will do some more testsLook on YT how to do a runner's knot. It should help a lot.
Qinwen Zheng is using the v12 in addition to Kyrgios.Anyone know which players use the Vapor 12 please other than carlos?

Seems like Nike doesn't like to make money.Hard to believe - but not really considering present day Nike - that these aren’t currently a retail colorway.

Matter of fact there was no real “PE” on the shelves, thats why people snobbed them. Just a vapor 11 with nice design.I feel like the last PE’s sat on shelves until they were 50-60% off. He won Wimbledon with them on aswell. It’s not like there wasn’t hype around them then.
…What’s the difference we know that they aren’t releasing full blown player issue shoes to the public. It will just be another Carlos color way.Matter of fact there was no real “PE” on the shelves, thats why people snobbed them. Just a vapor 11 with nice design.
there is a big difference in the shoe released (wimbledon 2024) and what carlos wore.…What’s the difference we know that they aren’t releasing full blown player issue shoes to the public. It will just be another Carlos color way.
