@nolefam_2024 Djokovic 2013 won 7 titles:

Australian Open
Dubai
Monte Carlo
China open
Shanghai
Paris
ATP finals

This is achievable for Sinner - aside from the Monte Carlo. He can win Miami instead

Next year he’ll have an 8+ title season. He should be in his physical prime. He will win at least 2 slams next year.

Well that "Alcaraz struggled vs even that Sinner. Sinner 2.0 will crush this regressed Alcaraz every single time" rhetoric has been put to rest for the time being after the very first match Raz played against Sinman 2.0

Based on their h2h my own feeling was also that Alcaraz would have an advantage in the IW match against Sinner.

I want Medvedev to win tomorrow but I feel like Alcaraz again has the better chance with the way he has been playing.

I think an 8 title season is too much for Sinner this year. He’ll most likely win 5-7

He’s Djokovic 2012/2013 level. 3M1000, ATP finals and a slam. He already has a slam
The ball striking in that first set of the semi final….. When Sinner is doing that it is very, very hard to hang with him or even slightly contain him. He just blew out the set. Alcaraz himself and the crowd were shocked with what Sinner was bringing. Even the net exchanges he kept finding ways to win the point against Alcaraz who has insane hands. Some of the defensive gets Sinner was making were out of this world. It’s a long time since we have seen that type of level on hardcourt.

God that was a fun match to watch. Not in terms of games, but in terms of "wow" moments and that special "it" factor, it so reminded me of a Rafa and Fed match back in the day. You had to watch it.

I was a Rafa fan from day one. But I still can't decide if I'm going to root for Sinner or Carlos over the next decade or so. They both fascinate me. I really, really like both. Sinner has the complete game. Carlos that intangible fire. Idk. Probably Sinner. But maybe Carlos? Eh. Decisions, decisions.

It’s a good rivalry. Great job from Carlos today, now it will be interesting to see how Sinner plays in Miami, especially if he is starting to carry some niggles. This season could have many twists and turns. Djokovic will be watching, lurking, and plotting his own revenge.

Almost all the interesting points started with Alcaraz threw in stop balls or did something unexpected to break the mindless bashing. Sinner doesn’t create anything on his own and it makes his game extremely boring. Sinner is an accomplished player and he can play all court but he won’t unless forced to by his opponent.

It's very similar to the Fed Nole dynamic. I much preferred watching Djokovic vs Federer because of said reasons than otherwise.

Yes. It feels like history repeating itself. It’s also almost like Djoker fans went to Sinner 1-1 and only talk about results, while Fed fans went to Alcaraz and Rune and talk about the game more than results.
