Alcaraz vs Roddick

Never a big Roddick fan but really? Roddick had to deal with Peak Federer.. Carlos is dealing with Struff, Coric, Fritz, Tststsipas and Ruud at the moment.. Start playing guys on the level of Federer/Nole/nadal in their primes and beating them. then we'll see what Carly is made of

Fumbling Roddick vs Alcaraz lol, I'm imagining it in my head playing out. Soz, but Carlos is just too good of a player. Bring up competition all you want. Andy would win some chances on his best suited courts mind you.

Roddick had a window to dominate for a while before Peak Federer arrived , he failed to dominate his not so great opponents in initial years while Alcaraz is dominating them since the get go.

Initial years Roddick's competition was still way better than Carlos' at the moment though. Pete, Agassi, Hewitt, Goran on grass, Rafter. I don't think Carlos is gonna have much fun with those guys (off clay at least) if hes dropping sets to clowns like Struff on his best surface to date.

It looked better because he couldn't dominate Hewitt. Carlo's competition would have looked great as well has he allowed Sinner to win USO.

Anyway, Couldn't care any less about it. Napoli won Serie A after 33 years and i haven't stopped partying.

Well Hewitt 01-05 is still better than anyone I'm seeing coming out of this generation. At least for now. I mean Sinner will surpass guys like Hewitt eventually but lets be real its weak with no Sinner around and Djokovic not playing

Well, point remain the same. Roddick couldn't beat Hewitt and stop him from winning his slam but Carlos stopped Sinner.

I need to see what he does at RG and off clay the rest of the year to make a determination to put him above Roddick. Its not fair to compare the two IMO as Roddick's competition was hands down better than the current one. Hell Roddick would mop up US Opens and WImbledon's against today's field.

They had the chance this year but they were dogsht this year against Milan this year and loss was unexpected. They hit the bad form at wrong time. I wish Diego was alive to see this day after 33 years.

In GOAT rankings it's big three records first. Slams, weeks at number one, and year ending number ones. Carlos has more weeks now.

Roddick is greater at Wimbledon, yes.

alcaraz is a more rounded better player/athlete for the modern tour. Roddick has better strengths for grass and uso.

Roddick, due to a longer career. That much is obvious.

If we are looking at peak value, then I think it’s Alacaraz. The scary thing is that Alcaraz is only 20. He should get better if he stays healthy.
