Alcaraz vs Roddick

No, he's like Berdych except clearly worse in every single aspect of playing tennis.

Entertaining tennis doesn't equal high quality. It's all well and good to be grunting and engaging in fun rallies from 10 feet behind the ground, but it means little when you can't serve and put away basic +1s as the bread and butter of your game. And of course such court positioning can be entertaining for the peons (which comprises of 99% of the crowd) and further adds to the "epic" atmosphere but most real people know it's a highly flawed way of playing on HCs.

Who in your opinion, is currently playing at a high quality level, Alcaraz, old Djokovic ? No one ?

Sinner's a discount Berdych ATM, but he does move a little better than Berdych and maybe returns marginally better (its close).
berdych of course had a way better serve and a better fh/bh.
I don't think he moves better than Berdych. Berdych 2009-2012 was not quick by big 4 standards, but was fairly athletic for a guy his size and had decently good footwork to play on top of the baseline (although of course his change of direction could be exposed by big 3/4). Sinner is built like a 12 year old, half of Berdych's size, and yet still shows very little ability to play on the baseline.

what is the definition of high quality?

Well in this case, high quality according to your point of view ? Since Sinner doesn't meet the requirements (and he's currently #8), I am wondering if you think some players are still playing at an interesting level or if the entire tour (with no exception) really looks hopeless to your eyes.

sport deleted the account?

A rivalry between Raz and Roddick would be even more lopsided than Fed vs. Roddick.
Ah, the wishful delusions.
Like Raz has anywhere near fed's returning ability or ability to absorb pace. (See Sinner matches for example)

Meanwhile Top 10 Roddick leads top 10 djoko 5-3, bud
5-3

Raz would explore that lack or BH harder than he does with Tsitsipas.

Roddick's serve is a lot better and bh less exploitable outside of clay thanks to that. it was better than what many think outside of clay.

If top 10 djoko has a losing 3-5 h2h vs top 10 Roddick and Nadal is only 5-3 outside of clay, what makes you think Alcaraz is going to exploit the bh easily?

Sinner does move better due to being so much leaner, IMO. Agree to disagree.

At the moment I'd give it to Roddick since Alcaraz's #1 ranking has an asterisk, but Alcaraz looks set to surpass him.

Maybe Alcaraz beating Djokovic was punishment for this troll thread I made. Oh well. It’s pretty clear who is better now. Vamos.

Roddick lost to peak Fed on grass. Carlos barely got by OLDovic here... Just because Carlos won today doesn't mean hes a better grass player.. Yeesh.. I assume peak Roddick would win today as well since Nole's serve went AWOL for most of the match

Roddick found a way to lose to Shiverer in 2009. That alone makes anything possible.

Peak Roddick could have beaten Alcaraz I think so.

Djokovic served like a clown in this match, A Rod of 04/09 would have been a bit better.

Djokovic had just 2 aces in the match, no wonder he lost. On grass Serve is the most important shot.
