Just wanted to inform anyone interested in KLIP Natural Gut of a deal I stumbled upon @ TW: 10% off all KLIP Natural Gut through their Facebook VIP Discount page.

To access, simply log on to Facebook, search for Tennis Warehouse, (you may have to 'like' them), then click on the 'Exclusive Discounts!' link (or VIP image). This will take you to another page w/ images. Click anywhere (it takes you to the same TW page), then select 'Strings'. 10% discount is applied during checkout.

No, this is not an April Fool's joke.

The discount also applies to Titan gut also, but after a couple bad sets, I've stopped risking it.

alas, no 17g, except uncoated or "tour".
Yeah, I noticed that, but that's just because they are out of it. I imagine if you called them & mentioned the 'Facebook VIP Discount' they'd allow you to purchase now & have it shipped when it comes in.

I gabbed a few 'Tour' 17g, and flirted w/ the idea of the uncoated...until I realized clay season was right around the corner & thought better of it...

Sent an email, we'll see.

My current set is still working and I have a set of Pacific waiting.

Also just ordered some Indian gut, so I'm set for awhile but
I'd take $75 worth if they say yes!! :)

thanks for the link-- ive been waiting to order some gut ..

now 16 or 17.. i always use 17 everything but usually do 16 gut mains -- i got 10 and 14 hours from the last 2 that were legend 16 and poly cross..

how much less time would 17 gut mains do? should i try it ?

Depends on frame, tension, playing style & surface.

If indoors, I'd be surprised if you noticed much difference at all, but if on clay, you'd probably see a significant difference.

Indoors I used 17g mains, 1.24mm poly crosses and almost never break the mains, but on clay I bump the gut to 16L. I'd say it lasts me 4-6 matches. 17g gut I will break in 2-3 matches on clay.

i cant seem to find 16L on TW for any klip guts..

and sadly no clay courts to use at all close by-- supposed to be a new facility being built this year that "might" put some clay in but i know they cost more and theyre budget will probably get used up and i would be suprised if they put clay in the beginning

Good deal...

I don't play NG but he folks I string for actually prefer the Klip Legend over VS. It may be just because they feel good after saving ~$20 over the VS. The initial tension loss in my experience is a bit higher than the VS so I account for it when stringing.
