Does Sascha really use IG Speed 18x20 stock (customized with lead and silicone)? Same as Thiem still plays with original and retail Pure Strike 18x20, paintjobed to be Project7 ?

I do not know what the retail IG Speed MP beam width is, his are thin.
He has lead under the bumper and silicone in the handle.

retail IG speed mp is also very thin but sadly unstable. its weight of 315 makes it hard to customize without reaching overwhelming numbers

Yep, it is very headlight too. But for me it was very stable with only 3gr of lead @ 2&10

The stiffness is right on par as Retail specs.

No, he uses 2 Wilson Pro Over Grips. One put on without overlaps and the other normal.

Oh, are you sure? I think @sixone90 mentioned it was the Technifibre (which feels very much like Wilson Pro actually).

My friend works for Unstrung Customs who strings/grips his rackets when he's training in Spain. You can see on Instagram.
    So it is certain.

He did use Tecnifibre Pro Contact at one point, he ran out of Wilson Pro Overgrips during Davis Cup and got some Pro Contact from Tipsarevic and liked it so he switched but I guess he must have switched back.

just my speculation, do they have different properties? He might switch depending on the conditions like how some guys use tourna but switch to tacky in the indoor season.

Can anyone confirm that as of now, August 2017, Zverev is using the IG Speed 18x20 in stock form?

T-W shows he endorses the Graphene Tour Speed MP in a 16x19 string pattern but I swore he used an 18x20 model.

In this picture from the citi open you can see the beam does not have the geometry of a graphene speed and the string pattern is 18x20

if by retail you are referring to 3 generations ago Youtek IG prestige MP than yes. Because that is NOT current retail speed.

The difference I see is the inner hoop of the graphene which has three faces while the IG has a generic smooth inner hoop.

From what I felt it was more than paint. I ran my hand around it and it wasn't a traditional paint job like others. Hey what do i know :)

Usually when it's a paint job you have of course the design on the frame but minor details like recommended string tension and all those mumbo jumbo text and recommendation isn't on the racquets. I just felt that the material was different on this frame. That's all I'm saying. Usually the paint is a thin smooth some time glossy finish. But this happen to feel like the whole was the same cheap graphene retail style material you get from head products lately. Besides the feel, I just felt they took so much effort if it was just a paint job to get very fine details on the racquet when other custom paint racquet like
The Wilson racquet doesn't put those tension spec and recommendations txt on the theirs pro stock.

Head They went to town on this racquet to mimic every fine detail for a paint job. It caught my attention for some reason just to see the quality so I was surprised when there was so much attention to detail on a paint job and when it held it it wasn't the same feel as an IG Youtek feel it has like groove and modern feel which I think felt cheap...

I'm pretty sure the mold is different though, particularly in the inner hoop. Did you notice how that felt?

Oh I see what you are saying. its probably what ever Head's current machines are set to paint the racquets to. It would probably cost them more to remove that form the racquet than to jusy leave that in.

Kind of how somebody posted Head paintjob over already twintubbed Head Radical.

Head goes to some excruciating details to deceive general buying public.
I am sure you have seen panted flexpoint holes etc...

But yes trust me that is NOT Speed touch MP as MoonShot said beam is different design 20 vs 22mm and (also most obvious since retail Speed Touch MP is 16x19 and Speed Touch Pro is 18x20)

Thank you for the photos BTW they are excellent.

    I don't remember... Haha
The only thing that came to my mind as soon as I felt it was something was different with the material. I could be wrong, but I really felt like like low quality hollow shell type material...
Bravo to the paint job because all the bells and whistles was on his bad boy!

There is nothing special about the Sascha's paint or any special molding.
It is a Innegra Speed MP 18x20 pro stock, regular pallets, silicone and lead added.
No shared holes like the current generation of frames and thinner beam than the 22mm beam speed today

It should be mentioned however that his is entirely foam filled while the retail YT IG Speed MPs weren't.

Inside the butt cap of my IG YT Speed MP, there were foam inside before dug it out and replaced with silicone. Those foam were againg and loosely packed. Absolutely not like those fresh and dense saw on TV when Zverev smashed his in previous tournament.
But not sure there are any foam in the throat or hoop.

Not sure if it is entirely foam filled. From the pictures, it appears to have the foam in the hoop, or wherever the break was.

It doesn't matter whether it's only in the hoop, throat or whatever. The retail was hollow.
In this video you see foam at 8&4 o'clock of the head.
While in this photo you see foam in the throat.
