Even though nearly all the ones I know play tennis, basketball is still king.I didnt know much about her before , she pops up my tennis feeds very often now
She must have a huge fan following
How big is tennis in the Philippines?
basketball is still #1
Her deeply obnoxious fans put me off her completely.
What is her ceiling? She performs well against top ten players but she seems to struggle against 11-20 ranked players for some reasonShe has that dog in her. I like that.

Remaining ladies in Washington are Pegula, Osaka and Eala - go Asian ladies’ tennis!
Since the day of her birth by her Korean mother, EinsteinSince when did Pegula become asian?![]()

Who said they can’t? I never said any such thing. Happy for everyone to celebrate them and their heritageWow! and the other half? Nice of you for not acknowledging her other half.
And Osaka’s dad is Hatian, why can’t Haiti bask in her success?
LolIt’s cracking me up how this is a classic Octo obsession thread, simply because Alex went to the Nadal academy.
Eala is one of the few players on either tour that goes after second serves—it’s really fun to see.

Yes and I'm sure he's the best coach in the entire world if he's allowed onto the grounds of the Rafa Nadal Academy. Probably spends his off-days saving puppies if Rafa allowed him to work there. She is still an RNA player. She is coached by RNA coach Joan Bosch.
Top 10. She needs to improve that serve.
Its about time somebody has taken the torch from Nadal. There's a bit of Nadals playing style in her game.
Other than being a lefty and her tenacity, I see absolutely nothing in Eala's game that resembles Nadal's.Its about time somebody has taken the torch from Nadal.
There is no male version of Nadal today,
Eala is from the Nadal Academy so its possible she's cracked the code...
She's 5'9". Same height as Steffi Graf. One of the most interesting players to appear in a while on either tour.
She’s tiny, has no serve, but is already one of the best ball strikers on tour and takes the ball extremely early. On return, she stands close to the service line and attacks every ball she gets.
Once again, there is no substitute for clean ball striking and taking the ball early.
Perhaps it is my faulty eyes, but Eala seems to have a slighter build while than most other female players, while Pegula seems to have a thick powerful build. It surprises me that Eala is able to handle the other players power. She's 5'9". Same height as Steffi Graf.
Pegula is 5'7", I guess that would make her a midget?
