All Court Shoe for the Occasional Clay Court Play

Hello,
I've recently moved tennis clubs to one that has two artificial clay courts (Euroclay I think) in addition to the usual hard courts found in most clubs in the UK. I've been wearing Nike Vapor 9.5 Tours for many years now since they fit me just right and I can always order them online in the same size and not worry about fit as there aren't really any tennis shops near me where I can try shoes on. My current pair are about 18 months old now and the soles are getting worn so I'm losing grip on both hard and clay courts. Being price conscious, I'm reluctant to buy a pair of clay court shoes and a pair of all court shoes so I'm wondering if there are any all court shoes that are particularly good for clay. I've seen the old Adidas Barricades from 2017 have the herringbone pattern on their all court shoes but I'm wondering if anybody's used the Vapor X's all court shoe on clay since it's tough for me to find a pair of 9.5's in my size nowadays?

If your club is anything like mine, they will demand separate shoes for clay and hardcourt since wearing clay shoes onto the hardcourt will wear down the finish. Unless you plan on cleaning the soles between play and removing all the bits of grit from the herringbone.

My buddy uses Vapor X on the clay. He likes them although I find he wears out the uppers pretty quickly. Long before the sole wears.

Admittedly, my pattern of play is to start a new pair of shoes on the hardcourt and and once the cushioning and sole start to wear a little I relegate them to clay. Clay kills the uppers but doesn't damage the soles or need as much cushioning. So I'm always in a two pair rotation, which I'd suggest in your case.

Anything with a herringbone pattern works on clay and hardcourt . I'm sure your Vapors will do fine

My club aren't strict on this luckily so I have the freedom of wearing one pair of shoes if I'm too lazy to change in between courts.

Are Nike Vapor 9.5 Tours all court's good on clay? Are they safe to slide on?

I can slide alright with them although I am just learning how to and my soles are already quite worn anyway. I'm looking for a new pair of shoes as I'm slipping when trying to change direction quickly.

With regards to the Vapor X's, are they true to size? I usually wear size 7 shoes but I've always worn size 6.5 (UK size, EU 40.5) with my Vapor 9.5's.
