All the people who laughed at a Fed-Nadal final before the AO

I remember a lot of people were laughing at this, saying theres no chance, less than 0% chance etc..
Im just wondering, do you feel a bit silly now for writing off two past legends like that?
Nothing is impossible and there are alot of suprized in sports always, thats why the final on sunday is 50:50 for either to win, no matter what some guys say again, that Nadal will win 100%, because alot of people said Nadal won't even reach QF 100%, and same for Fed.

Im not trying to belittle them, im simply saying that nothing is certain in sports, and you should never be too sure in anything, just like everyone is writing Fed off now and saying Nadal already won his 15th slam. In sports many times things don't go as expected and people can sometimes be quite suprized and shocked at some developments. The final is 50/50 for either man, no matter what happened before.
Istomin and Zverev beat Djokovic and Murray, how more unlikely is that, than Fed beating Nadal on sunday?

Nothing new to see. This happens after every upset, every sport. When it comes down to it: That's why they play the game.

*insert cliche here*

If you want to watch the match thinking that each guy has a 50/50 chance of winning, that's cool.

I don't like predictions, but I have to favor Nadal based on his past record, Fed's extra 5 years and the nagging injury Fed has talked about.

The extra day of rest for Fed might be an important factor though.

Sure, I favor Nadal too, but some people here are already convinced Rafa has won, and that the match will last 3 sets.

No, I don't feel silly. The minuscule amount of people predicting a Fed-Nadal final should pat themselves on the back, however. The chances of this happening before the tournament seemed to hover around .05%. Why should anyone feel silly for ridiculing something that was so outlandish to imagine?

I predicted Federer would reach the final and was called a troll for it. Just sayin.

I didn't predict Nadal though.

2017 might be interesting...both Murray and Djokovic 29 years old now, wonder how well their bodies will hold up. Maybe Grigor or some other players finally step up.

OTOH everyone expected Federer to have to go through Murray. Who knew Federer would get such an easy QF?

Most of us thought Fed would lose to Kei or even Berdych.

But there was a general consensus if Fed got to Murray, he would win in straights

But there is a difference between ridicule and skepticism!
