All threats in Nadal's path to Wimbledon final are officially out (a la the AO)

In the AO, Bull fans were complaining about his draw. He was supposed to play the following players in different rounds but didn't play any
R2
: Kokk
R4: Hurkacz
QF: Zverev
SF: Djokovic

Now in Wimbledon, the same thing happens again, all threats in Bull's path to the final went home even before the second round
R2
: Querrey
R4: Cilic
QF: FAA
SF: Berrettini

What the hell is going on?

Not only that, it seems Djokovic has caught covid after practicing with Berrettini and Cilic. I didn't watch his first match but some suspected in the match thread he was sick, so don't be surprised if an upset happens against Kokk or some mug. And let's not forget what happened with Zed who went toe to toe with Bull at RG till the end. With that kind of luck, I'm starting to consider putting my cash on the CYGS*.

Novak is sick! I told you guys... he's now blowing his nose...
I think he's slightly sick or something?
Doesn't look to be feeling 100% unless it's my imagination
He looks like he’s about to hurl. Wtf? He def looks unwell. Keeps burping as well.

It is the universe rewarding Nadal for missing all those slams to injury over the years, for remaining a force to be reckoned for 17 years, for never taking his foot off the acclerator ever and remaining diplomatic in his words, taking care not to rub anyone the wrong way off the court or look pompous.

&

It is the universe punishing Novak for his thick head which cannot understand that being a rebel all the time doesn't necessarily work in your favor, by refusing the jab he actually opened pandora's box which he will realize (the complete gravity of the situation) in a few years' time when he looks back and realizes what he has done.

What tough opponents does Djokovic have left in his half? Hurkacz was one of the favorites to make it far in the tournament but he's also out.

He could play either Cressy or Fritz in the QF, a tricky opponent for sure. Though Nadal will be a huge favorite, both of these guys have the game to make him feel uncomfortable on the surface.

I know some so-called tennis fans don’t even like The Good Tennis but take a moment to reflect that there will be no Calendar Year berrettiniOpen Grand Slam in 2022. :(

I'm the biggest Rafa fan on the planet and I'm pretty stunned about this. I don't think I've seen anything like this before. Two WD (Berri and Cilic) and then mug play all around from FAA etc.

I feel like the tennis gods will now curse Rafa soon because they so blessed him today! So I must start my voodoo practices pronto.

Why does it matter anyway? The important thing is winning titles, not reaching finals. As long as Djokovic is in the draw, Nadal haters have nothing to worry about. And sadly, given Djokovic's draw, no way he doesn't reach the final.

I think we've learnt several times that even having each other is not enough.

The problem is that by the quarters, the grass will become to Nadal's liking.
True and I don't expect him to lose, but remember how tough Cressy played him in Australia (had a set point on his own serve in the first set and was a break up in the second), where the conditions favored Nadal more than on grass. It could be an interesting/entertaining match, I hope they meet.

It’s not Rafa’s fault the others couldn’t win to face him. Djoker too has benefitted many times with cupcake draws.

This is Rafa’s best chance to at least make the final

Everybody is a threat to Nadal at W. Even in his prime he’d lose to journeymen like Darcis or Rosol
Here we go again. "Even in his prime". Yeah, a diffuse so-called prime somewhere "back then, 10 years ago" when it's THIS year in which he won the first two Slams for the first time and started the year with his longest winning streak ever.

Again, Nadal never had a defined "prime" like Federer from 2004-07. He always had GOAT periods or lesser/injury periods, back and forth. And he had a slump in 2015/16.

But that was his prime, just not on grass.

like 2010 Nadal would destroy 2022 Nadal, he is just a shadow now of what he once was
