All threats in Nadal's path to Wimbledon final are officially out (a la the AO)

No, I don't think Djokovic has "declined" that much either, and Federer also was great much longer than some people say. Of course his body gave up NOW, but in 2017 he PLAYED close to his best. Again, played, not moved. But he partly compensated it with improvements due to the new racquet.

And you are right, on clay 2019 was not the best year, but on hardcourt it was. As I said, he was much more prone to upsets in his earlier years. If he would play for my life, I wouldn't have trusted him off-clay in the years some people call his "prime", but I would rather trust him now. On clay I would take the 2017 version. Moya contributed massively to his game.
How you quantify this is up to you, but they have declined, that's undeniable.

I mean to be fair Novak had himself come off of the highest quality match in the last seven years so it’s understandable that no one was too mad about his final opponent being a weak one.

You’d be better off pointing out Novak’s super weak US Open draw from that same year that seems to get very little attention.
Sooooo Novak getting a Kevin Anderson who just came off a 6 hour semi is excused b/c Novak and Rafa had a 5-set classic?? We both know it wouldn't matter if Rafa had played Rod Laver in the semis, if he beat Kevin Anderson in the Finals...that's all people would be talking about is how he had an "easy Finals win" and it needs to have an asterisk (hell folks pretend Rafa's 2017 US Open title needs an asterisk b/c he beat Anderson in the Finals)

Let's not pretend that the insane hypocrisy and double standards for Novak and Rafa are excusable--they aren't

Novak Djokovic's R4 opponent has lost as well - 15th seed Opelka.

Murray is also out. So only Alcaraz left who can compete but Alcaraz has Otte and John Isner or 10th seed Sinner waiting for him before that.

R4 and SF will be cakewalks for Novak, let's see if QF becomes one too.

Djokovic was favored by the bookies at the French Open also against Nadal and we know how that turned out. Nadal is playing very offensively at a high level this year and I would not write him off or bet against him if he makes it to the final against Djokovic. Djokovic would only be a slim favorite in spite of his gaudy Wimbledon record.

No. Djokovic will win comfortably against nadal. Bookies are not stupid everytime.
Nadal's serve will be broken time and time again, and he won't be able to break Djokovic too often.

So the winner is dead obvious. Djokovic would have to play well below his level to even bring Nadal into the match...
