I've used this for personal and family frames. stepping up to a table top model due to friends and others at the club wanting me to string for them regularly. This model sells for $489.00 here. Mine is in great condition and works perfectly. It would likely continue to work great for decades.

FYI: I have shipped one before and it was nearly $200 to ship via UPS ground (although this was the table top crank version). These machines are heavy and solid! Which is a good thing for durability but a nightmare on the pocketbook for shipping.

I see. Thanks for the info. I live in Houston, and Alpha is in Austin, ~3hrs drive away. May as well grab one from the store and make a weekend of it :)

The stringing machine was sold. It shipped approximately 1000 miles for $52 and weighed 48 lbs. Hints: pack it up in as small a box as possible, second: use the postal service ground shipping. UPS way higher. if you use a mailboxes etc. or other third party company for shipping UPS they mark it up even more.

Bkpr: I am selling my Axis Pro. You can email me for details. Smw1227@gmail.com. I am in DFW and may be able to get it yo Houston if you're interested.

Oldcity: glad you got it shipped. I tried mailboxes etc and ups directly. This was the tabletop crank model. The smallest box was still pretty god size.

Thanks for the offer, but I'm looking for a smaller machine (tabletop) for easier storage. I don't have space to stand a full-time machine somewhere.
