Alternative to Luxilon ALU Power Rough?

I am currently using Wilson NG in the main and Luxilon ALU Power rough in the cross and it works fine.

However, I do notice that the ALU Power Rough is much rougher and my finger hurts when stringing the ALU Power Rough on my Alpha Ghost machine. I am looking for some other strings that will not hurt my finger when I string and yet still provide the "champion choice" quality (i.e. Wilson NG main and Luxilon ALU Power rough cross).

Thoughts?

thanks in advance.

I always find it to be a bit rough when stringing poly in the crosses but not really to the point that it hurts my finger(s). And even though it is annoying that the stringing is more difficult, if the strings play better its a small price to pay. I'd say as long as your finger(s) isnt in pain such that it affects your game, its worth the momentary discomfort.

Just my two cents, but it looks like you decided on another cross already and you're committed (20 sets!).

Good luck
