Alternative to the Head Extreme MP?

Hey guys, I wanted to get some opinions.

Little history - I've always been a Yonex boy. In the past I've played with the Yonex RDiS 100 than switched to the SV98 from 2017-2019. Then after having a go at my local club the Head Extreme MP 305g, I loved the feel and easy power. So I switched and played with the Extreme from mid 2019 to Nov 2020. In mid 2020 I added extra 10g weight to the butt and 3 n 9. I found it to be more stable (probably closer weight specs to the Pro version). In Nov I got a good price and got the Yonex Vcore Pro 100 @ 300g. This frame had great control but was a little jarring on my arm in long sets. Soon after I got a little bit excited on the reviews of the new Yonex Ezone Tour 98, 315g and got that frame. Again it's not the best for my arm. Super stable but not as easy to play with as the Extreme MP. My questions is A) do I need to give the Tour/Vcore more time to get used to them or B) do I get something similar to the Extreme MP? And if so, what Yonex or other brands have frames like the Extreme MP/Pro? With these suggestions, I can go out and play test a few frames. Thank you in advance for your tips

True I could take a little weight off the MP but I guess I'm looking to get a new frame with a bit more control and something that doesn't scream in the cosmetics. I realised after playing with the Yonex frames, how the Extreme was not calming like blues or greens..

Try the Head Extreme Tour. 98 inch version of the Extreme. I've just made the switch and it's fantastic

Which generation Vcore Pro 100 did you try?
I have the 2019 (green) model and it's very comfortable, even with full (soft) poly. I've had shoulder injuries in the past and this rackets is very nice on the arm.

I have suggested this in a couple of threads before; 360 or the new 360+ Instinct MP. About the same power as Extreme 360 MP but more control (for me).

The Extreme Tour could be a good option for you but I much prefer the current EZone 100. What string and tension are you using?

If you listen to the 'How Pros Playtest' podcast (see here), they talk with pro Hayley Carter who recently went from the Pure Aero to the Extreme MP. In the podcast, she says she felt the two frames were extremely similar, so maybe give the Pure Aero a try?

Note that I have no idea if this is true as I've never played with either of those frames, just passing along "what she said"...

A small step up(control wise) from the Extreme 360+ MP would be either the Speed MP or the Extreme Tour. Radical MP would be a step up from that....

Other racquets I would consider Prince Textreme Tour.

I find the Radical 360+ Mp, Speed 360+ MP, Radical 360+ Pro and Prince Textreme Tours all easy to use racquets. Extreme series is a little less controlled, in general, but not insanely so.

Those extreme cosmetics can actually help your game. I have a buddy with an Extreme MP and YPTP strings. You can't see the ball coming off that frame to save your life. Really allows him to disguise short slices and volleys.

Yep, Same stick as you. Not sure why my arm feels it? I have a full set of Volkl Cyclone @ 53lbs

I can confirm they are very similar. I demo the PA and loved it but my arm didn't. I needed something more arm friendly and found the Extreme. I bought the 360 Extreme but was a playtest for the 360+ Extreme MP and absolutely loved it. That's my main stick now.

Why not stick with the Extreme? But if you want more control and feel, try the Speed MP.

What can you tell us about the differences?

Aside from the obvious:
balance is way more headlight with the tour.
power and spin, more for the mp.
Control, goes to tour

Stability?

how about 2HBH?

I can't comment on the 2HBH since I have a 1HBH. I would stay stability is about the same. PA has more power and 360+EX has more spin. Serve would go to PA and control would go towards 360+. I didn't modify either racquet. PA I demo had RPM blast. I really like the PA but my arm hated it.
