Alternatives to Multifeel for snapback?

I use Velocity in the mains and Multifeel in the crosses. Love that Multifeel is slick and keeps the Velocity strings straight all the way up until breakage, but durability leaves a bit to be desired. I break Multifeel in less than 10 hours.

I've tried full bed Velocity and other strings for the crosses (like Prince Premier _____, OGSM, sensation, etc.) but they don't provide the slickness / snapback that Multifeel does.

Any string suggestions appreciated!

i've tried MF and Velocity mains with gamma glide - great combo, lasts 10h plus with Velocity as mains, it gets kind of boardy at the end of life.

If you love multifeel, why not try a thicker gauge like 16 if you are not already. Lately I have been trying Gosen AK Pro CX and Gosen Multi CX and like the feel. I have about 4 hours on them so jury is still out on durability. I also have some Babolat M7 whose marketing ploy is want to play longer.

That's a great suggestion as well. I've actually been using 15L for the last few months as sort of a last ditch effort to keep using these multifeel.
It definitely held up better for me than 17 or 16. Maybe a few hours of additional play. I'll check out those strings you mentioned.

Haven't found anything multi that is more slippery than multifeel black.
You could try triax 1.38 if you don't mind the 50% poly component (or just go for a soft slippery poly like cream, swift or ghostwire).

I'd say close to 10 hours is already decent though.

Thanks. These are terrific suggestions.

I usually use monogut ZX to cross w nat gut mains. Just bought some old frames and usually use a multi to try them out first. As a suggestion from someone here, I tried gosen AK pro CX: about as slippery as I've ever seen a string. Hard to clamp w/o slipping.

I have been very impressed with the Gosen Multi CX of late. I have about 8 hours on it(Gosen Mains, Prince Tour XP cross), the feel is very good and maintains tension decent. I like it better than the AK Pro CX.

If you are breaking the crosses you probably hitting on the flatter side. You can try putting a more durable syn gut (snapback would be worse than multifeel) or a multiester like triax/hdmx (compensate by lowering tension as it behaves more like a poly). Next option might be a soft poly like isospeed cream/ghostwire.
