Federer and Nadal never beat a big4 member in 6 big events' finals, while Djokovic did it in all of them.

Great stuff. Also it looks like he is frustrated and not satisfied with just maintaining. He wants to improve. Want him to just play the villain role edgy frustrated pissed off. Love it. A complacent djokovic is a beaten man djokovic.

There is no big four. If Wawrinka can get back to the top 10 and continue to be a threat at big tourneys while Murray can't, then the big 4 will forever be debunked.

I'm not saying Djokovic is better, but you could argue he had the hardest path in winning each of his slams. He always had to face either one of the two greatest players or a multiple slam winning hall of famer in Murray or Stan
When i hear anything associated with weak era and djokovic i scratch my head. Noob nole was dropped face first smack dab in the middle of the fedal furnace. He was forged in the kilns of the gods. Redick we hear dissing of djoko.

I think it's fair to say you're not that big a fan of Murray are you clout? ;)
I'm perfectly fine with Murray as a player but I just don't think it's right to include him in the same group as 3 GOAT candidates, that's all.

Imagine Sampras, Laver, Borg and Courier all playing in the same era and ppl always bunched Courier in with those three. That'd be a bit ridiculous don't you think?

Certainly not in terms of overall career achievements but in terms of consistency over a long period of time he's much closer to Fedalovic than Wawrinka is and it isn't even close.

That only makes sense if you believe Fed and Nadal would have lost four finals to Murray and Stan. Without beating Djoker a combined four times in finals, they wouldn't be multiple slam winners.

He is in terms of consistency, but achievements and totality is what ppl will look at 20-30 years from now and in that case, Wawrinka is closer to Murray than Murray is to Djokovic

Murray's inclusions should be thrown out the window here. To include him in the same breath as Joko, Ned or Fed is a Joko.

Beating second tier player Murray is not same as beating ATGs like Nadal and Federer. It's more like Fedr beating in form Hewitt, Roddick, Gonzo, Nalby and Safin.

It may be true for Wawrinka (who still showed an amazing consistency in 2013-17's grand slams, beating the other big4 too), not at all for Murray: Djokovic beat peak Murray (2011-16) in 8 slam matches out of 10.

What about having someone lower in skills, determination and consistency than Murray ?
Every player would wish such player in final, even big 3.
If you want just to check hardness of reaching a title, you can put Wawrinka, Delpo or Cilic in those stats, I believe result would be the same.

True, but Wawrinka is closer to Del Potro, Cilic, Berdych, Ferrer, Tsonga, than he is to Murray.

You forgot some crucial statistics: 1) Grand Slam (hold of all 4 GS at the same time) and 2) Career Masters (wining all masters), 3) Out of how many on ATP tour (matches in case of matches, years in case of years, slams played in case of slams etc.).

Exactly. Had Roger ever met Murray in a FO final, hello DCGS! Why is Murray even in the mix? He skews the results ridiculously. Don’t compare a guy with 3 majors with those having 20, 17 or even 13.

The topic takes into account the masters and the YEC too, where Murray isn't so far from Fedalovic. Titles:

Djokovic 36
Nadal 33
Federer 33
Murray 15

not so far. Huh, do you read numbers from right to left by any chance?

I'm not saying Murray is on the same level as Fedal, I'm saying Djokovic beat Fedal OR Murray, which is still more impressive than beating other players, who are not on the same level as Murray's.

Anyway Federer and Nadal won only 63% of their matches against Murray, and only 50% in finals, so I don't know why you think they would have beaten him easily in finals.

It's better not to have him around, that's for sure.

Don't be surprised, BeatlesFan does not know much about tennis. Federer overtook Murray in H2H just recently after he developed his game in post-2014 period. Current H2H is 14:11 for Federer and until 2014 it was 11:9 for Murray. Thus, Fed won 56% of matches played against Murray. These numbers show that a statement that Murray is a non-factor suggest either a total lack of information or deliberate laying.
