America Now Thinks Serena Williams Is The Greatest Tennis Player Ever

You and your friend can say what you want, but he's still one of the greatest to ever play the QB position. He lags behind Brady in SB wins and appearances yes, but that doesn't mean he was lucky to make 3 SB's and win 1 of them, beating the Chiefs, Ravens (road game), and putting up 38 on the Patriots along the way to your "pathetic" 13-3 Bears. Dan Marino never won a SB, but he's still one of the greatest to ever play for example.

Oh and btw he's beaten the Patriots twice in the playoffs, and he would've beaten Flacco (thus denying the Ravens a SB) if not for a blown coverage by the defense, so your "lunch money" comment is pretty far off base.

Peyton, Marino, Favre, and whoever else has QB records no one cares in the age of the Super Bowl can rest on those pathetic laurels while Brady, Staubach, Aikman, Bradshaw, & Roesthlisberger can rest their heads on multiple trophies! The list of nobodies with 1 SB are plentiful like P. Manning, Dilfer, McMahon, Williams; do I need to go on? Even his pathetic brother has 2; winning both his SB over the so called favorite in the Patriots! After all is said and done, Peyton will be a footnote on par with other losers like Tarkenton, Marino, and even Favre with his 2 appearances! Bret got 1 SB with all those completions, games played, and heaven-knows how many interceptions! ;-)

Sure, but everybody that knows the first thing about football and is being objective will never put Manning in the same category as any of those guys that you just listed. Manning is actually better than his brother despite having one less SB, and he's better than someone like Roethlisberger as well. Whether that translates to having a better overall team in a sudden death scenario is another thing entirely.

I do think Brady is the best QB of this generation (which is all you can ask), but I don't use only SB rings to determine that. It's way too simplistic.

Sure, they aren't in the same category, but 100 years from now, no one's gonna talk about Peyton's tight spiral, his completion rate, or his multiple MVP's; it's all about the ring after all is said and done! Rodgers' probably better, but it makes no difference if your teammates don't make plays; totally a TEAM SPORT! ;-)

That's not specific to Manning though. In 100 years, nobody from this time will care about Brady, let alone Manning because we'll all be passed on. Brady and Manning included.

True, but the commentators just drool over "stat machines" like Manning, Favre, Marino, and others who've done nothing much in the post season! FCS, these guys have losing records when it really counts; that's all I'm saying! Peyton's great, has all the numbers, but having a losing record in the playoffs with 1 SB against my lowly Bears, I wouldn't be salivating over watching him; esp. if I were a fan of the team he's playing on! ;-)

You're still trying too hard to take the shine off that SB while ignoring my point about the Colts beating the Patriots (first and foremost) Chiefs, and Ravens in a road game against a very good defense. Besides that, they drool over Brady, too. Just as much if not more in fact. They're not really selective. The only difference is that less people take notice or offence when they do it about Brady because him and his teams have won 4 SB's. I'm not saying that's wrong. I'm saying that's the way it is.

Well at least you understand why they talk about Brady; he's actually a winner, has 4 SB, played 6, has the SM wife, actress baby momma, money, looks, & fame! Have I missed anything? lol! Thanks; nice banter! Worth saving to my blog: - http://fiero4251.blogspot.com/2015/...showComment=1452539739579#c375528577597412855

Yeah, it's just too bad that you have no idea why they talk about Manning as one of the greatest that has ever played.

I didn't say I didn't understand it! I just give reasons why it doesn't make sense in the grand scheme of things! As I said, Peyton will be a footnote in football history while Brady, Montana, and other legends will garner more praise after all is said and done! ;-)

No one cares about Peyton, Marino and Favre??? That statement is idiotic at best, you can't judge individual players in the ultimate team sport.

I'm sure you think Robert Horry with his his many NBA Championships is better than Karl Malone, John Stockton, Reggie Miller etc.

I'm no fan of Horry as I was living in Sacramento when the Lakers and the Refs ripped us off! Regardless, Horry has the 5 rings while those other "status symbol'd" greats have none! SCOREBOARD! ;-)

Sorry, 2,000 online pollster's does not speak for all of America. Serena is #4 all time best female tennis player in U.S.A... behind Helen Willis Moody, Martina Navratilova, and Chris Evert. Best female athelete, probably. Best tennis player all time? Don't make me soil myself from laughter. Just goes to show how ridiculous that online poll is.

Ever the comedian, since Serena left Navratilova and Evert in the dust two years ago.

No grand slam, No GOAT.

Yeah, and there's an aging #3 on the ATP tour who is in the same position.

And some people believe USA is the center of the universe. Opinions obtain from six different continents is the best poll to eliminate all the bias.
