Underwent right knee surgery and has called time on his 2019 season. His last tournament was at Wimbledon where he lost in the 3rd round to Guido Pella.

When did anderson's 2019 season actually start?

At the beginning of the season when he won the Tata Open title in Pune (beating Karlovic). He then played the Australian Open (losing in the 2nd round), Miami (losing to Fed in the quarters), Queen's (losing in the 2nd round) and Wimbledon (losing in the 3rd round). He hasn't played since.

Its just knee surgery, he is not exactly undergoing an organ transplant where he needs to be on meds for his whole life.
I was talking in general, not just about Anderson. Go back and re-read.

Besides, did YOU ever have knee surgery?

Yeah, of course not. Keyboard courage is keyboard courage.
