Did you watch her out there? It usually only takes the course of a single match to see it someone is on their game, and if they're not. This also applied to Kerber and Vika--both were just not in their best form by any stretch of the imagination, which is why they could not even rely on experience to slip by with a win.

You're being a hyper-defensive fanboy ignorant of history. Everyone who followed Connors' career at the time understood Connors' wrist problem and surgery threatened to end his career. That's how serious it was (including an uncertain recovery), even a year later, yet he made the USO semis. If a then 38/39 year old coming out of wrist surgery could do that, the excuses for Andreescu (unless it was reported that her knee injury was threatening to end her career) do not necessarily hold up.

Yeah but she more like instead of being more like Nadal and by that I means that she gains weight and probably doesn't train enough.
I saw her 13 sec training on Instagram the week prior and I was aprehensive, she wasn't bouncy at all, not even during that short clip of FH to FH rally.
