Andrey Rublev's Futility

James P

Andrey Rublev has moved into the exclusive double digit QF loss club, and done it in record fashion, a perfect 0-10. Usually, this is the mark of a lengthy and successful tennis career. For those wondering, Nadal, Murray, and Wawrinka are all at 9. (Edit: Open Era-Only)

With $21 mil. in prize money alone, at just age 26, most tennis players would give their eye teeth and more to have such a disgraceful record!

i think thats why these players arent getting past the next hump. for them the juice isnt worth the squeeze
just to compare thats the same as lendl and he won 8 grand slam titles and 94 tournaments lol

For most tennis players, the early training puts a cap on their career achievements and not any last-minute "squeeze".

Manuela Maleeva was 0-11 in QF's before her first win, so ya never know...
