Let's get it started for the AO. He has been hyped to win the last four grandslams, despite making only one final and bombing the USO. This time, he'll win though, right??
Go Andy!
Go Andy!
may the trolling begin.
I'm not trolling. In my opinion, Andy Murray is not that good of a tennis player and his results show that, but he still get favorited by many tennis "fans".
You're not trolling, you're MEGA trolling.
When Nadals gets spanked again when they meet in Australia don't go crying to mama.
wow. didn't know Murray was tipped to win the FO !!!Let's get it started for the AO. He has been hyped to win the last four grandslams, despite making only one final and bombing the USO. This time, he'll win though, right??

Andy is a great player, but sometimes his sense or entitlement might get to him. I can totally imagine him on court thinking to himself "Why the hell won't this guy let me beat him already. Doesn't he know I deserve a slam?"
That is a BIG claim as well. You might just have to eat those words at the end of the fortnight.
I've noticed besides being a Verdasco fanboy, you're also a Murray one reading your posts.
Its funny how the Nadal lovers come out of the woodworks to talk smack about Murray once the AO draw has come out and their worst fears have been confirmed.
Sure I dont particularly like Murray either and I do feel hes been overhyped BUT he does have a record of giving Nadal the beatdown in hard court slams.
Bollox on stilts mate. Murray never stops saying how hard it is to win a slam - those are not the musings of someone who thinks he's entitled. Check out the quote in my sig as an example.
I don't know the guy, so anything I say about him is pure speculation from my observations of his time on court and interviews.
P.S just because someone says something doesn't mean they mean it.
I'm sorry, but I just don't think that slamless Murray is the God of Tennis like some people on this forum (batz, rovex, p-agony) would have you believe.

Seriously, I can imagine you will go and hide in some cave for a decade if Andy Murray comes and takes out your blue-eyed boy in the semi-finals like he did last year. I will surely bump this thread if that happens.
Otherwise, as they say, may the best man win.

When did Rafa become blue-eyed?!? Is this why they named him Ralph?Seriously, I can imagine you will go and hide in some cave for a decade if Andy Murray comes and takes out your blue-eyed boy in the semi-finals like he did last year. I will surely bump this thread if that happens.

Yes, because ONE poster who is a Nadal fan happens to talk "smack" about Murray, it's about all Nadal fans. Its funny how the Nadal lovers come out of the woodworks to talk smack about Murray once the AO draw has come out and their worst fears have been confirmed.

BTW, I don't think Murray is overhyped at this particular AOpen at all. It's not like 2009 where he was actually one of the top two betting favorites. The only people who are hyped at this event are Nadal and Federer. I've seen more people pick Djokovic or Soderling than Murray. And Murray is the defending finalist, so yeah.
I would like to see Nadal put him in his place at a hardcourt slam. There are certain Nadal fans who are fearful about Murray being in Nadal's draw because they think Murray has the "clear edge" on hard courts. Nadal needs to put this notion to bed.Federer: career grand slam, gold medal, 16 slams
Nadal: career grand slam, gold medal, 9 slams
Murray: umm....a couple masters?
He's a chump. Get over him.

With that said, I wouldn't call Murray a chump. Gulbis=Chump.
Nadal has beaten Murray on hardcourts before and I'm sure he will again. Nadal's new hardcourt serve could be the deciding factor the next time they play because Murray is a great returner and never had issues with Nadal's high bouncing serves to his backhand. Now that Nadal can serve 135mph bombs, I think a lot of Murray's strengths will be neutralized.
Murray always has a way of clutching defeat out of the jaws of victory.

What did Djokovic have before he won his first major? What about Del Potro? Del Potro hadn't (and still hasn't) even won a Masters event. Why does it bother you so much if there is Murray hype (which there really isn't)? The only players people should care about are former slam winners? There are million threads here discussing Roger/Rafa. Nobody is trying to make you into a Murray fan, stop trying to make others not be his fan. Heck even Murray isn't a Murray fan most of the time.Federer: career grand slam, gold medal, 16 slams

I haven't see Nadal play, but if he's back to his Abu Dhabi self and the serve comes back, he will be able to take on Murray. It will certainly at least go to 4 sets, and will most likely be draining for Nadal. Again, there is no guarantee that Murray will show up in the semis in the first place. He may, he may not. Same goes for Rafa and Fed. All it takes is one off day. Especially with Nadal, most days his forehand is killer and some days it's like wtf?

So even though according to you Andy Murray has NO genuine fans, you still feel a need to knock him down a few pegs?No one actually likes Murray. The only people who root for him are people who dislike another player. It seems like Murray is only dicussed when it's about beating Federer or Nadal.
Abu Dhabi was a exo. Of course he'll be able to take on Murray. Even last year, even though he was about to lose in straights before he retired, it was still a pretty close match. Same way how at Wimbledon even though Murray lost in straights, it was a close match. Nadal's backhand is the shot that matters the most at Aussie. It's what won him the 09 Aussie.

I understand Abu Dhabi is an exo. What I meant was he played well there. He was looking rejuvenated and ready to go. It's been a few months since the USO and he hasn't played as well since. He was impressive in the match against Murray though. What I did like is the energy he brought at Abu Dhabi. It was lacking in Doha. If that energy is back, he'll be good to go.
In other words, when nadal loses he's not playing, when nadal wins he's playing well.
Just did my picks for an online pool for the Aussie Open. Andy's got a tough draw. I'll be surprised if he gets past round three.
WHOA !!! I, meg, murray19, muzzagoat, Blinkism, Underhand, malakas, and many other love Andy. You should check his biceps. Otherworldly !No one actually likes Murray. hey are you Indian. We keep hearing this line for the Indian cricket team, lol.Murray always has a way of clutching defeat out of the jaws of victory.

Have to agree with you, he is a good player sure but I do not get the hype lets looks at his Grand Slam performances since last year's Aussie Open, no finals, one semi where he lost 3-0 to Rafa and an early beat down in the US Open, yet according to some "fans" he is the favourite for this event just like he was apprently favourite for the US Open last year even though he had lost early there the year before, err based on what exactly?
