Oh my back!
Honestly. I used to be proud to be British but after seeing murray and how he's embarrassed all is Brits across the world, I am thinking of getting some fake tan and pretending to be Latin.
This one in my all time favorite....
I don't really dislike Murray now, but I absolutely hated him in 2009. This award winning performance he gave in IW 2009 sickened me. He was full of crap; acted like he tore a muscle and then got right up to grind his way to the break and match. I enjoyed watching Nadal crush him in the final.
It's the yelp that he lets out that drives me crazy. I imagine it would be hard to not look if you're in the heat of the point and Murray belts out a yelp.
Is Murray a Chelsea fan?
I swear to god he must be, because he's doing a dead on impersonation of Didier Drogba right now
Anyone who follows top-level European soccer will know exactly what I'm talking about.
If Murray felt good going into the match and tennis was the cause of his sudden back problem, you'd have to think continuing to play tennis would only make it worse.
The pics in the OP capture Murray perfectly
They always come after a bad shot, its the british way, I do it myself !
You don't feel the pain when you hit a running out of position almost in the stand fully extended crosscourt past a disillusioned frenchman......
ENGLISH are sore loosers like this brit..
INside Actor's Studio with Andy Murray
LOL amazing thread. The pics are perfect LOOOL
Who'd have thought a player could obtain such a competitive advantage just by touching a part of their body.
It's quite amazing. Just for the record, can someone just explain the effect that touching your own back has on your opponent? Does it make their forehand slower? Are their volleys less sharp? Do they win fewer 1st serves? Thanks.
So the OP is located in France and starts another Murray hatin' thread. No surprises there..
Djoko does a pretty good rope-a-dope impression too so Murray ain't the only one. Nadal always mentions an injury might impede his progress in tourneys but ends up picking up the trophy at the end. Nieminen couldn't take advantage when Murray was really struggling and Gasquet just folded like a cheap tent and crumbled when the chips were down. Murray got the job done and got the W. Get over it.
Charles Barkley could give Murray a run for his money on phantom pains.
Love this one!
In short, old Murray's back.
Oh no a lame animal someone please put it out of it's misery.
Oh it's just some lame duck...
Murray to crowd - 'Vous avez été 'Punked' suckers'
Murray's been taking injury fake-a-roo lessons from the master of himself, Mr Nadal.
Ronaldo is the master of pain.. Rivaldo wasnt bad either = http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UgfRCa71Kmw
Muzza must have learnt form these soccer dudes.
Don't forget this one:
Not saying whether Murray was faking or not in that match but he didn't really grind his way to the break, he just returned a few serves and Fed made some terrible errors to basically hand him the break on a silver platter, Murray barely had to defend/move to get that break.
Fed completely lost it mentally after Murray fell, that period was one of the lower points mentally in Fed's career.
The english are getting worried, could be a long summer
Well, I'm British and he hasn't embarrassed me! I thank God everyday we have him. After all, who else is there to fly the flag for Britain in the tennis world? Big fat zilch, that's what! With Murray, we have a solid top 10 player who is #4 in the world. Without him, we are absolutely nothing! Thank God for Andy... I say.
Yeah, his back's a problem I know but I just hope it holds up for tomorrow. And less of the 'old', he's only just turned 25!
Isnt he a Scottish braveheart rather than a British sweetheart though ???
And yet the slams aren't exactly rolling in.
Ah...2009! I have such fond memories of him in that year. He really seemed the up-and-coming player and was on a great roll (6 titles). Pity he didn't show up for the final (he played it like Fed played in that last set) but he went on to win Miami the following week. Great stuff.
Scots are still British... for the moment anyway!
He's both. They are not mutually exclusive, all Scots are Brits.
That's nothing to be ashamed of though...is it? When did a French or American player last win a Slam yet they still have the strong support of their home fans, don't they? Murray has come closer than any British player before him since Fred Perry and he may yet still get there. Even if he doesn't, his achievements have single-handedly kept Britain at the forefront of tennis. All of us Brits should stop moaning and taking stupid potshots at him. He may not be perfect but he's the only one we've got and that's a whole lot better than most others have. Just thank God we have him, I say!
This has always been my favourite
I'll second that.
Looks like someone airbrushed his racquet out of that picture!
Drat, is it not possible to edit posts on this board? My "seconding" was to Mainad's post, not the one that jumped inbetween.
Duly noted, don't worry!
(Btw, I believe you need to have something like 50 or a 100 posts before you can start editing them).
He'd just snapped a wrist tendon when that picture was taken. He was out for nearly five months.
Do you have any more injury porn?
But do they like it?
Some do. Most of the ones I know do.
Just about every opinion poll taken since Adam was a boy shows support for independence running at around 30%. Seems like the majority do. Murray certainly does, as do I.
Ok, whats the problem for the 30% , what is there not to like about being part of GB?
Some argue that we would be more prosperous due to oil revenues going solely to Scotland. Some don't like the fact that we don't have full fiscal autonomy, others believe that we should stand alone for better or for worse.
We already have a separate and distinct legal system, education system and health service, police and fire services
I personally feel as proud to be British as I do to be Scottish. I respect the views of those who feel differently but I for one believe we're stronger together.
Succintly put, bravo!
And of course, QFT!
