Some snippets:
"Andy Murray is looking for a new coach as a matter of urgency after parting company yesterday with Alex Corretja, who had worked with him on a part-time basis for the last three years. Murray was talking to potential replacements yesterday and is hoping to make an appointment before the start of the clay-court season next month"
"The departure of Corretja, who had been at only one tournament with Murray this year and did not go to the Australian Open, indicates that the world No 5 will seek to give his next coach the authority that Maclagan had sought, although the next man may not join him at all tournaments."
Early reports indicate that Corretja grew weary of Andy's incessant screams of "U gt PWND beatch!!!" during late night Call of Duty sessions. Practicing was often difficult as Andy would often opt for the Wii version of tennis over actual tennis, thus rendering his serve useless as well as Scottish.
Andy would become ecstatic when he unlocked specific trophies on the Playstation, and was reported to have said "Who needs a grand slam when you've unlocked the PLATINUM trophy on COD? They don't use platinum for Wimbledon.".
This will be his 1,478th coach in the last 5 years, which some say could have lead to some inconsistency in results.
16 times grand slam champion and all round good guy Roger Federer had this to say in his Miami press conference:
Q: "What do you think of Andy's decision to switch coaches again?"
RF:"Well you know, its always unfortunate when you have a great talent like Andy waste away into a horrible little ball of uselessness and drivel."
Q: "Ummm, so not a good idea then?"
RF: "Not for him. For me its great news."
The King of Clay and ever humble Rafael Nadal weighed in with his opinion:
Q:"There have been some early reports of Andy Murray leaving his coach. What do you think of this?"
RN: "Difficult, no? I gonna try my best always for 100%, and for sure is a difficult opponent, but I take match by match, and try for every point."
Q: "That bore no relation in any way to the question I asked."
RN: "No?"
Q: "No."
RN: "You ask about Andy Mooray?"
Q: "Yes. What do you think of his decision to change coaches again?"
RN: "Very bad, no?"
