Some snippets:
"Andy Murray is looking for a new coach as a matter of urgency after parting company yesterday with Alex Corretja, who had worked with him on a part-time basis for the last three years. Murray was talking to potential replacements yesterday and is hoping to make an appointment before the start of the clay-court season next month"

"The departure of Corretja, who had been at only one tournament with Murray this year and did not go to the Australian Open, indicates that the world No 5 will seek to give his next coach the authority that Maclagan had sought, although the next man may not join him at all tournaments."

Early reports indicate that Corretja grew weary of Andy's incessant screams of "U gt PWND beatch!!!" during late night Call of Duty sessions. Practicing was often difficult as Andy would often opt for the Wii version of tennis over actual tennis, thus rendering his serve useless as well as Scottish.
Andy would become ecstatic when he unlocked specific trophies on the Playstation, and was reported to have said "Who needs a grand slam when you've unlocked the PLATINUM trophy on COD? They don't use platinum for Wimbledon.".

This will be his 1,478th coach in the last 5 years, which some say could have lead to some inconsistency in results.
16 times grand slam champion and all round good guy Roger Federer had this to say in his Miami press conference:

Q: "What do you think of Andy's decision to switch coaches again?"
RF:"Well you know, its always unfortunate when you have a great talent like Andy waste away into a horrible little ball of uselessness and drivel."
Q: "Ummm, so not a good idea then?"
RF: "Not for him. For me its great news."

The King of Clay and ever humble Rafael Nadal weighed in with his opinion:

Q:"There have been some early reports of Andy Murray leaving his coach. What do you think of this?"
RN: "Difficult, no? I gonna try my best always for 100%, and for sure is a difficult opponent, but I take match by match, and try for every point."
Q: "That bore no relation in any way to the question I asked."
RN: "No?"
Q: "No."
RN: "You ask about Andy Mooray?"
Q: "Yes. What do you think of his decision to change coaches again?"

RN: "Very bad, no?"

:D

I heard Andy has put out an ad in The Onion for a new coach. Anyone have the text of the ad ???

Andy I guess it's time to give Brad Gilbert a call again.
I don't think there are very many other top coaches available
these days.

Why is everyone LOL'ing away. I feel kinda sad for Andy. This recent slump is a "purification for his soul". It's due to "earlier bad karma" (beating Roger in Masters). Once his soul is sufficiently cleansed (after some more torment), he will go on a huge tear a la Đoković. 2012 belongs to him.

As beautifully written and hilariously brilliant as my original post was, it is actually quite a serious decision to split with Corretja. He's been with Mooray since about 08 (albeit semi-permanently), and has improved his game on clay by quite a margin. Personally, I think he should have stayed with Alex, and bring on someone that would act more as Maclagan's replacement. That way they could work in unison in the same way that Severin and AnnaGOAT do with Rogi, and it would also mean he'd always have a coach with him on the road. But getting rid of ANOTHER coach, at literally the worst possible time of year seems like a knee jerk reaction. Obviously, none of us know Andy like he knows himself (Like duhhhhh), but I really feel he needs to trust in himself and his abilities and stick with the same team, or bring on new people. He has a great game when its on, and by getting rid of the peeps he's grown familiar with it seems like it could take a toll, constantly having to adjust to a new coach. And that isn't something he should keep having to do, just because he's going through a slump in form. In fact, I think the best person to talk to him about all this would be Federer himself. The pressures of being bright prospect from such a young age, and the dips in form that can come with that. I mean, Rodge has already stated how he was much the same at Andy's age, but he stuck it through and managed to do ok. We're all cheering for you Andy!

COME ONNNNNN!!!

Murray was punished for beating Roger so easily in Toronto and Shanghai.

(Contd. In next post)

^ Yeah, i agree, Mooray should hire Roger as personal consultant to help him beat ... Roger in a slam final. What's one more bromance on the circuit ... there's already Rogi-Rafa, Rafa-Mooray, Rafa-Joker, Verdasco-Rafa, Verda-Lopez-Rafa ... Rogi-*******, Rogi-Wawa, Rogi-Delpo ...

Maybe he should hire someone that will set his ass straight and stop whining to his box. And stop looking like a puppy dog in those runner up speeches.
