Andy Murray to make singles return in Cincinnati

Presumably you meant flying.. let’s look at that from a time point of view, you leave your london hotel by taxi and catch the tube or train to Heathrow or Gatwick, minimum 45 minutes timing and traffic just right, two hours at the airpot and 45 minutes flying time, add on 20 minutes for take off and landing, and another hour to disembark and get the shuttle into Edinburgh, but you need everything to go right...Phew, you could grab a coffee at Waverley station in the heart of Edinburgh whilst you wait for yourself.
Sorry that here in Scotland we don’t yet have point to point teleportation yet.
I was mocking the other guy. Train is obviously preferably to flying at any distance up to about 1,000 miles. Even then if reasonably reliable, fast, and comfortable. Train journeys are pleasurable traveling. Flights are a functional pain in the backside. And worse for the planet.

I had the pleasure of watching Murray and Lopez play doubles together in Montreal! The guy is such a smart player on the court with a complete all- around game. He's also a good leader in doubles (he helped refocus Lopez and the crowd with some funny words after Lopez inexplicably caught a ball that was way out) and also was friendly to the fans and the kids that came up to him when he was leaving the court after a rain delay.

Tennis is a lot better off with a guy like Murray in it.

IMO, Andy seems to be the most accessible personality to the General Public and the fans. He comes across as the guy that many would feel most comfortable talking too, having dinner with, or sharing a drink with. He is as much a Champion as the other Three. But the other three seem to come off a little bit more sheltered and aloof than Andy does. Tennis certainly needs more of that rather than a lot of the fake image and persona stuff that is often dished up to us.

As someone of Scottish descent, i am offended by all the anti-scottishness in this thread. Both their accent and their whisky crap all over that of the ‘Muricans or anyone else. And Scotland is very pretty for the 3 months or so of the year that its not a freezing hell hole. And im glad Murray is back even though i cant stand him and his matches with Djoko, which were like watching paint dry. But even less fun.

Great news, hopefully he can make a bit of a run but can't really expect much at this stage, but it's just great to see him back.

Not sure why the sixth best player of this generation wants to come back for an early round pasting.

4th and 5th are Wawrinka and Del Potro respectively.
Marginally more of a case for Wawrinka although he's not close Del Potro is literally nowhere near Andy Murray much as I do like him.

Nice try though, maybe try and find a more valuable use of your time rather than just talking ****e on a tennis forum.
