:giggle: Great news and I look forward this.

Just what everyone wants to see

A liar with a dumb accent

Tennis has moved on from Andrew. The 5th best player of his brief time in the spotlight.

Awesome news! It will be nice to see him back on the tour and hopefully he can get 1-2 wins under his belt to get him back into the swing of things. He looked alright in doubles but singles is where he belongs.

Interesting that he asked for a wildcard, I thought he still had a protected ranking?

Brilliant news that he feels ready to try singles again. Most likely he won't get far but I guess you've got to start somewhere.

The journey of a 1,000 miles starts with a few small steps. Welcome back to the singles tour, Andy!!! :)

This will be his first singles tournament for 7 months (his last singles match was a 5 set defeat to Bautista Agut in the 1st round of this year's AO) and the first since his second hip operation in January.

He lost in the 1st round of Cincy last year to Pouille. Can he manage to go 1 better this time in his 1st outing in singles since his operation?

This is good news. Hopefully Murray can be competitive, acquit himself well, not get injured, and play in the U.S. Open two weeks later.

5.5 million too many

Good point. Even in the context of a continent that hasn't yet entered the iron age, it's a benighted, backwards country. For example, my wife is traveling to Edinburgh from London on Sunday, and the lack of adequate avian options means she has to go in a horse-drawn buggy. As a result, it'll take her almost four and a half hours to travel a mere 400 miles.

This is wonderful news. :) This year's Cinci is shaping up to be the most epic Masters of the season so far(though it'd have to be one helluva tournament to surpass Madrid :giggle:). I wish Andy nothing but the best and look forward to seeing how he performs in his first match. :)

Good. Sir Andy can be the only legitimate competitor to Novak. Fedal can't do it for sure. Novak's beaten both to a drum.

Presumably you meant flying.. let’s look at that from a time point of view, you leave your london hotel by taxi and catch the tube or train to Heathrow or Gatwick, minimum 45 minutes timing and traffic just right, two hours at the airpot and 45 minutes flying time, add on 20 minutes for take off and landing, and another hour to disembark and get the shuttle into Edinburgh, but you need everything to go right...Phew, you could grab a coffee at Waverley station in the heart of Edinburgh whilst you wait for yourself.
Sorry that here in Scotland we don’t yet have point to point teleportation yet.

Great news, he doesn't need much to overcome most of the tour these days so hopefully he can bring it to the table and come back strong

Let’s be realistic, it’s nice to see him back for a farewell tour but after the hip surgery he’s had he’s not going to ever be the player he was. He’s probably unlikely to win more than one match at most here.

The man is returning from injury because he loves competing. Good for him and good luck to him. The rest is irrelevant. Except of course, that no country speaking with any accent has ever bettered the sexiest man ever to have been born in any eon - Sean Connery. And I speak without a Scottish accent, so no bias on my part.

What exactly does this mean ???

Looooool! I am confused by all the question marks. I think my comment is clear. Someone mentioned Andy's "dumb accent" ( Scottish) and someone else posted a picture of Sean Connery. I have responded ( tongue in cheek and because I just lurve Sean) to say that any nation / accent hasn't bettered Sean Connery. I trust that this explains the matter. If not, please treat it as one of life's infinite mysteries ..... and be assured that I like Andy lots.

It would be funny if he immediately ascended to #4 in the world, throwing more fuel on the 'next gen sucks' fire.
I think it would be the ultimate insult.

Murray was done. Finnish. Career over. Entire goodbye video. Comes back 6 months later, still better than everyone bar Fedalovic.

I think this is great news. Looking forward to seeing in what kind of shape/form he is in singles. I have no expectations at this point but it would be nice to see him win a few matches.

Not sure why the sixth best player of this generation wants to come back for an early round pasting.

4th and 5th are Wawrinka and Del Potro respectively.
