Andy Roddick Using Full Gut

This thread comes up pretty much every time roddick plays a tounrey. Usually its just a bad angle, or glare so you can see the blue, but in these pics, it does seem like he has natural colored strigns. Maybe its just white hurricane as opposed to blue?

He's probably using either his old Ballistic Polymono (Babolat will say it's Pro Hurricane Tour like they have with Nadal) with VS crosses, or he may be indeed using the new Pro Hurricane Tour with VS crosses. The mains look yellow to me while the crosses look like VS still.

I watched Roddick practice with his doubles partner the other day in Indy. He walked right past me, and yes, the mains were definitely yellow (like the old Prince synthetic color), with regular Babolat gut crosses.

Maybe Jimmy Connors told him to get a real set of strings.. *cough* haha... "Stop with this random sheet, play tennis! "

*high five* Go JC!

Not to be ignorant or anything, but roddick playing with gut is a smart way to atleast help save his arm longer. This is if he wanted to

Andy Broke a racquet in the Doubles Semis at Indy. When he went to get a new racquet, he threw the broken on to a kid in in the crowd. I went up and looked at it afterwards.

Mains said "PRO HURRICANE TOUR MADE IN FRANCE" on them. The crosses where VS Touch 130.

Andy had his racquets strung by someone other than the tournament stringers, so I didn't handle his racquets.

I do not believe this is a completely correct statement.

what do you feel is incorrect with my post? i am not speculating. i know it to be fact that Andy is a client of ****, that Roman customizes his frames, and that they string for him. feel free to try and prove me incorrect.

I'm kind of curious if this isn't the current string being rated in USRSA's blind string test. If it is, I look forward to getting more. :)

So you're telling me . . . NONE of his racquets have been customized by the Babolat Tour Team based in Lyon.

And **** always sends a stringer to his events I.E. Davis Cup Abroad.

what is your problem here? all i said in my original post is that Andy is a client of ****...its true. i said Roman customizes his frames...also true. matter of fact they just changed his spec a few weeks ago. i am sure Babolat hand selects the frames that are sent. i am talking final weight/balance/grip that is done by ****. and i never said no one else strings a racquet for him, but , for MOST tournaments and practices, **** is there and does, mainly Greg as Roman is exclusive to AA if he is playing, as they do for Haas, the Bryans etc, and when the women are at the same site, Davenport, Sharapova etc. what Andy did before that i have no knowledge. end of discussion.

Haas's Racquets were strung by Rick Cannan, in Indy.

VS Touch 130 . . . 33 kg

Oh Yeah . . . ALL of his racquets.

I have a funny story to share, about his string, but you probably already know.

Sorry, I had opposition to your word "All". You seem to have backed off of it, now.

i couldnt see the picture, but i guess its the strings he was using saturday when i saw him play the memphis tournament on TV. it was a yellow one, i think it is not gut, well, i tried this string it is called the hurricane tour or something like that, it was really really good but i borke it every 4 hours of play, but i got really good felling out of it, also kinda expensive.
