Angell TC 95

Hey all,

I was curious if anyone here knows some specific TC 95 (either 320 or 330 unstrung, 16 x 19) specs such as;

Twistweight
Sweet zone size
Swingweight
Power level

Cheers

Twistweight and sweet zone is done by TW and as they dont sell these frames they dont test them.

Sw around 290 for v3 if headlight and 300 for v2.

Power level compared to what? Arbitrary number with no relevance or what people subjectively feel?

Players frames - medium-high
All frames medium-low

Power is from the individual and impacted ny so many factors. Some say its thors hammer, others struggle. I am inbetween and I get more power from my Prince 93P as I find much more control and confidence with an 18x20 thin beam.

I’d support what others are saying. But to save you some time if you specifically want these specs for a TC95 or other Angell frame you won’t find it in the Angell Users thread - at least I have never seen them. Only swingweight is in there and all the others are TWU specific measurements for the racquets they sell, including Power - they measure this in a standardised way.

Also FYI On the Angells the swing weight quoted is unstrung and strings add c.30 to that apparently. The 63RA Classic versions have a higher SW than the 70 RA. Supposedly it’s more even on the V3. Also one can ask for a specific SW within a range when one orders. Paul then looks through and selects one that pretty much meets that.

"Power Level" is kind of strictly a Prince term, or at least I've ever only really seen Prince use this term.

Typically with Prince, larger head size, stiffer frame, lighter in weight and less headlight balance meant higher power level.

With the Prince Phantom Pro 93P at 600 power level and Prince Phantom Pro 100 at 750 power level, you can make your own guess on TC95's power level.

Also, aside from swing weight, the other 3 stats are near trivial to the majority of tennis players.

Honestly you would probably have to email Paul yourself to find out those specifications, but even then sweet spot size, etc can depend largely on strings used

Well there's this: https://tt.tennis-warehouse.com/ind...95-16x19-flexy-shakedown.553138/#post-9954079

dont have #'s though... also would really need results calibrated to other tested results as different machines give different results... one of the reasons we love TW, they know we love the endless geeking it affords us.

What I can say is the TC95 is suprisingly powerful spinny and controllable. It takes good technique to unlock its goods... it isnt like a pure drive with free power and spin. Seems to work best with full poly in lower tensions.
