Another dangerous incident yet again

Irina Camelia Begu threw her racquet into a kid's face. She's into the 3rd round.
Still no action... I'm really fine about verbal insanities, smashed racquets, all kinds of pathetic outbursts... being dangreous is a whole other conversation. I hate so much the ATP for putting all kinds of misbehaviors in the same basket... THAT is the kind of stuff which needs to be taken care of

From what I read the racket didn't actually hit her at all but she was brought to tears by stress of being so close to the player's outburst.

It's a judgement call. Players can be disqualified if they hit someone, but there's no rule that says they must be disqualified
Interesting. When Djokovic did it, everyone was saying that it's the rules - if you hit someone, it's an automatic disqualification. Now I learn it's at the discretion of the umpire.

Why was everyone giving false info when Djokovic did it? Is it just because they hate Djokovic?

No, it is not

This is a widely believed myth that has no basis on actual rules
Maybe it’s not in the rules, I don’t know. But it seems to become the norm when the player hits the ball or throws the racket in anger.

Djokovic hit the lady and she was in pain. That’s an immediate disqualification. Djokovic himself immediately realised it.

It's a very common misconception; it pops up every time there's an incident like this, regardless of the player involved

LO to Djokovic fans trying to justify his actions because a mid level WTA player didn't get disqualified for a vaguely similar incident... The Kool Aid must taste soooooo good!

PS: She too should have been DQ'd for this incident

Regrettably, certain renowned players in the past have committed similar misbehavior and as nothing has happened to them, sometimes without even being warned by the chair umpire, so, when players of lesser caliber imitate these harmful attitudes, they end up harming innocent people, in this case a child, who is accompanied by his parents, he just wanted to see a show, but unfortunately it didn't end well...for him and his family.
The authoritie$?
Let the party continue!

So basically the racket didn’t hit anyone but she scared a kid who started crying. She got a warning from the umpire. I think she escaped lightly. A harsher punishment would have been more appropriate.

Wait, so why was Djokovic disqualified at the US Open?
Because he is one of the GOATs and a candidate to be Slam Leader.

Ofcourse they would use any opportunity to stop Novak at slams ,so that he doesn't end up as Slam Leader .

If he ends up as the Slam leader ,it would be such a disgrace for them and hilarious for everyone since they never wanted him to be a legend and they always promoted others and put him down always lol :-D

Absolutely, not only the ITF and the ATP, but the whole world is conspiring against the true GOAT.

Because nobody wanted him to vulture an easy Covid slam.
Speaking of that, the last year RG female champ just woke up with fever and after tested she gave up her doubles match and left today. I guess no problem for everyone's got the drug "protecting" them now. What a drug, ain't it?

Most likely True, however being a Novak fan, I think smashing, throwing rackets, or balls should be banned and players should be disqualified for doing so. Such behavior is not only potentially dangerous but a poor example for kids.
