Another long winning streak for Nole?

I predict Djokovic will go on a long winning streak and win every tournament from IW all the way to RG. His winning streak will be stopped at Wimbledon by Federer in the final this year.

The streak includes all the tournaments he enters. If he doesn't play Monte Carlo but wins Miami, Rome, Madrid and RG the winning streak counts.

I predicted a while ago that Djokovic would win the RG/USO double and Federer would win Wimbledon.

I didn't think Stan had it in him to upset the King. All evidence prior to the match seemed to indicate a Djokovic victory. I admit I was wrong and congratulate Stan on a well-deserved victory. The level of tennis in the final was amazing

The AO was long overdue for a dark horse winning it. Look at the AO's history. Tons of surprise winners.

Who knows? Things can change suddenly. Djokovic may win the next 28 matches, but he can also lose his next SF/Final match. I think it's become a bit more unpredictable this year.

With the way hes playing lately? No chance of that happening. Hes serving like a woman, his game is patchy and all over the place and his ground strokes are off. He caught fire a bit at the right time today but I attribute that more to Fed doing what Fed does vs. Nadal/Djoker (Plays great for a set than his level hits the crapper almost immediately out of nowhere, Like as if he forgets how to serve and hit winners)

Nole hasn't looked good all year and hasn't looked "great" in 2-3 years.

Clearly your expectation on Djokovic is off the scale.

He may have got his mojo back. Bad news brah.

He looks like a sloppy, indecisive mess. He played a good TB though. I'm happy for him, but tennis changes literally by the tournament. I don't see a winning streak in anyone's future this year. Had he lost the TB today there would be 8 threads in both sections writing eulogies. Him being able to put 7 points together doesn't convince me he's not declining.

I think Mr. Nadal will have a lot to say on the matter, along with Federer. I am wondering a bit with Murray at the moment, yet Raonic, Wawrinka, Dolgopolov, and Dimitrov are also playing better tennis. Miami and then the clay season should be competitive, yet we'll see. If anyone seriously writes off Nadal, it would not be a good idea. We'll have to see how he responds, because Federer is playing some really good tennis, along with Djokovic. Nadal, Djokovic, and Federer are the top three players at the majors right now in my opinion, yet there are some dangerous players out there.

It's slow court time isn't it? So yes, unless Nadal is healthy.

Novaks Kryptonite is fast courts where guys can step in and take him out of his rhythm.

If Novak is allowed to stay back behind the baseline and dictate pace there isn't a player in the world that can touch him, except a healthy Nadal.

Let's see how long he can stay wrapped up inside that anti-slam ball that Rafa put him in

I don't think so. He won't make the Wimbledon final again IMO. I know he won in 2011 when he had that amazing year, but grass isn't really his surface. Can't see him cleaning up the clay season either.

Nadal is the Saviour of Tennis, protecting it from the monopoly of Federer, who wanted to rule the world alone with his tennis feats.

So, Uncle Toni - Dumbledore
Nadal - Harry Potter
Federer - Voldemort
Djokovic - Draco Malfoy? :lol::lol:
Murray - Ron Weasley

Well, after that huge semi-final against DelPo last year I am convinced that Djoker is much better on grass than most people here will admit.

This..
IMO His performance on grass depends on how he is mentally at that moment. If he wins RG, I believe that he will win Wimbledon irrespective of the draw he gets.

Oh yes, this can happen. A win at RG would boost his confidence to a maximum. And when Djoker plays with max. confidence you know what can happen, just go back to 2011. But well, first of all he needs to win RG. Not an easy mission to ask for :-D

And if he loses at RG again, he'll lose before QF at Wimbledon.

;)

seriously, he's better on grass than what the TW experts tell you. As a matter of fact, if you're really good in tennis, you'd do well on all surfaces. And if you happen to be excellent on slower courts, you'd do even better. It's easier to adapt to faster courts for slow court giants than it is for fast court specialists on slower courts.

del potro and murray are struggling with form and fitness and federer is too weak mentally (i am not even buying the "*******" theory, the cunning swiss fox is still very quick around the court)......nadal hasn't fully shown up yet after australian open......those are all the reasons why djokovic is cleaning up lesser titles......

Djokovic isn't playing lights out tennis either. His aura and fighting spirit won him the tournament tbh. Cilic was playing better than him and could have won the match but he just couldn't do it against Novak.

Or even worse looking at this shaky 2014 Nole. :(

I have to say, if I was Nadal or Murray, I'd try to push ND really hard and make each point very difficult for him in a match. Novak right now is vulnerable mentally. When things get tight, he gets so nervous, he reminds me of myself when I get nervous lol

I think we both know you don't really believe this.

nadal broke his spirit at roland garros and us open last year and that left novak dispirited......the fifth set of roland garros final and the third set of us open final, how nadal out-willed nole is simply history......it was like he lifted a big rock and dropped it over novak's den......

A bit like Novak did to him in 3 slam finals in a row. Ouch.
