Another question about Head pro stock..

TGK 238.5 would be the pro version of YTPP right?. I know it comes as hairpin weighting 252 grams, but is it made from the exact same materials as the stock version with D30 and all that? If customized to the same specs as the retail version would it still play different?.

Thanks in advance.

so its basically the same frame just without D30? or a whole different lay-up?..

If you say that the Hairpin comes at 252g, and the retail comes heavier, how can they be the same layup???

BTW, the Pro stock Hairpins come at different weights and balances (not all 238.5 come at 252g). Each of them has a sticket under the pallet that reads the engineering code, hairpin weight (WT) and the balance point of the hairpin (BP).

Ok maybe it was a silly question but mine says 238.5 and 252g.. I have had a lot of the older Austrian models but its my first time with tgk models.

First of all, the TGK is NOT an Austrian model:)
The TGK sticks are made in China, finished in the Head Pro Room.
Currently, only the PT57, pT10 and 161 along with some specific molds (Djokovic for example) are done in Austria. This should end soon, and the Kennelbach facility will remain only as an R&D and test center.

Second, I am not sure what the composition of the TGK hairpin is. I would think it is a different material because of the weight, sound, feel differences. But, not sure 100%. I don't think I have seen a concrete proof here showing that the TGK is all the way graphite.

Think of the TGK as a separate line of racket that is painted to look like retail models... No d3o, different mold, overall quite different rackets from retail

Exactly the SAME mold as the retail (TGK238.4=YTPMP; 238.5=YTPP; 238.3=YTPM, etc...)

I know that TGK´s are made in China and all that, I was just curious about the composition. Havent had the opportunity to play the TGK and retail version side by side yet..

the tgk sticks are all 100% graphite, correct?

what is the difference between the TGK 238.5 (YTPP) and TGK 238.3 (the MGPP, I think that's the number)?
