Any Black Ace Pro users out there?

I am considering buying this racquet but I have no access to a demo. I am a 4.0 player with a ohbh. Lowest flex frame I used was the Phantom 93p. Please let me know your experience.

Fantastic frame. Classic control racket, but with some extra pop and a slightly higher launch angle. SW is on the higher side, but thanks to the very thin beam is whippy and manouvrable.

Best strings for me is hybrid nat gut mains / poly crosses.

And of course, you cannot get anything more arm-friendly than this one!

Same experience here. OHBH, but very whippy and still relatively easy to swing, despite higher 330(+) swingweight. I do feel it's string-sensitive when it comes to vibration. I had all poly (Toroline K-Pro) in it, but it does vibrate on contact. I can imagine with gut/multi it'd be less, but haven't had the chance to test it out.
I hear they are coming out with the new version this year, so you may be able to get it cheaper at some point if you go for the current version. There was a French website with a good deal selling it new for ~110 last fall as well in case you're in the EU.

Did for a while, coming from the Vcore 95 2023. I played well with it, but I’m now also testing more forgiving rackets, i.e. 100s. Gravity MP, Tour, Pro, Babolat Pure Strike 100 16x20, Percept 100D.
The black ace pro is a fun racket though, so it’ll probably also stay in bag regardless.

Mine will arrive tmr or Thursday. Will string it with BHS7T 1.25 mains and Lynx Tour 1.20mm on cross at 55lbs to start. Is this the one! Lets see.

Just got mine today. Strung it up. Havent hit with it yet. I would like it to be more headlight. Any of you guys tailweight yours or use a leather grip on it?

I did not, my balance on the rackets with everything on is 32.5 and 32.9 cm (two different string setups), weight 320 and 326 gr, and swingweight 320 and 336 (mind you, not using a dedicated machine, but calculated). I didn't have issues with maneuverability, but can imagine that it can take a leather grip to change the balance since it's not heavy weight.

Just hit some on the wall. I don't think this racquet is for me. It doesn't feel as maneuavrable as I hoped it would be. Bit too low flex for my liking too. I knew that it would be a gamble at the time of purchase but we got no demo programs here and well - nothing ventured, nothing gained. I will be putting this up in the Classifieds soon.

Too low flex compared to the 93P that you used? Sorry to hear it wasn’t to your liking. Might try a leather grip indeed to change balance a bit and get a more crisp feeling? Any other rackets you’re considering?

The 93p felt slightly stiffer. Maybe the smaller head and 18 x 20. I have a Clash v2 98 coming in soon.

That might help yes that pattern. And the Vcore 95, or percept 97 or Vcore pro 97(D)? The Vcore pro can probably be more easily found secondhand.
I really did not care for the clash 98 v2 feeling, hope it’ll feel better for you.

I used to use a 2018 Vcore 95 a few years ago. I did also try the Vcore pro 97D but couldnt gel with it. What do you use?

Mostly right now the Gravity line, will probably end up using the Tour, although the Pro feels much more amazing, but it’s a bit hefty for >2h play. I liked the Vcore 95 2023, but I got elbow problems again after I settled on it being right for me. I concluded I wasn’t good enough for the small head size, and not consistently hitting the sweet spot, ending up with vibrations that are hurting my arm.
In frustration I bought the PK BAP, flexible and slightly more forgiving.
Then I was borrowing a bunch of 100 inch^2 rackets from a friend, and the Gravity felt nice, as did the Phantom 100P by the way.
I’m also testing the Percept 100D and Pure strike 100 16x20.
In short, I’m mostly using 100 rackets for their forgiveness.

hihi I think I bought the PK BAP out of frustration too. I also played the 2019 GPro for a while but it's too much right now. My main sticks right now are the PAVS and the Dunlop CX 200+. I would like to stick with the PAVS but my arm health is my concern as I do have a slight golfer's elbow. The Dunlop CX 200+ is nice but also hefty in swingweight esp on serves.

I got TE a couple years ago. Played a Black Ace 300 after being on the playtest because I played better with it than the CX 200 OS I was using. For the last few months I’ve been drawn away by the Rafa 290 but my arm health really started deteriorating even with full bed of multis.

So looking at the lowest RA, lowest frequency racquets in my possession: Blade 104 v7, Clash 100 v1, and Black Ace 300, the Black Ace 300 is better than the Clash. The feel of the Clash is just funky, whereas the BA300 feels like a normal racquet. The Blade 104 v7 is most powerful, still better feel than Clash 100.

So, I’d still advocate for the Black Ace series, I think you just went with the wrong one.

I’m playing just as much and just by switching to the BA300, the next sudden onset of TE was completely avoided and my arm is getting better all while still playing!

BAP is the one that cured my golfer elbow that I got playing with a Gravity Pro. The fact that it is not too head-light is a plus in this case, as it gives that drive-through the ball feel that helps. It is 330 SW though, so it is hefty, but if you want to get your elbow to improve, i wouldn't surely go lighter and lighter...

Then it is flex, but dynamic flex is still above 60 and it feels stiffer than, for instance, a PT 630. Static flex is just a number that means little.

BTW, you said that you did play test it against the wall? sure it is a valid test? I would definitely give it a go on the court...

Thanks. Did try it on the court. Was alright. Maybe I need to tweak it. What is your setup on it?
