Any craps players out there ...

Hey ... my daughter wants me to fly out and meet here in Las Vegas ... usually, the only game I enjoy playing in the casinos is craps ... it's loud, it's boisterous, it's very social ... yeah, not unlike a really good-fun, anything goes, and raucous game of mixed doubles ... anyway, does anyone have any good tips for the craps table? any good strategies? best way to stretch your money? any secrets to rolling? all suggestions are welcome ... thanks in advance for your comments!!

I like going to a low-limit table - where I can feel like a high roller. I don't think it's much fun to lay down 1 bet, and then wait to see what happens. From what I understand, the 'come' bets with insurance are the best bets in a casino - while the other bets (hard ways) are some of the worst. I enjoy the 'team' aspect of craps. There's nothing better than winning big, and having the whole table erupt!

The key is realizing when someone is hot with the dice. You can ride a streak of a good roller and bank some cash. You would think Pass/Come would be even up but the odds are like 250/244 and the house has a 1% Edge. thats how they make money because in the long run percentages play out. The only bet on a craps table that the house doesnt have the edge is the Pass Odds / Come Odds and Dont Pass Odds / Dont come Odds.

IF you there when this lady was throwing it would have been hard not to win.

Don't play the "Big 6" or "Big 8". Instead, talk to the dealer and place a bet on 6, or 8. That way, instead of paying even money like the Big 6 or Big 8, it will pay $7 for every $6 you bet. You might wonder then why anyone would ever bet the Big 6 or Big 8. The reason is, they don't know about placing bets. The Big 6 and Big 8 are sucker bets, and that's why they're on the board in such big letters.

Hey guys ... thanks for the tips ... Hollywood, yeah, wish I were there to ride her coat tails ... I always encourage the ladies at the table to roll ... especially if they are neophytes ... I'm a terrible father ... in Las Vegas when my daughter turned 21 (I mean at the stroke of midnight) ... we took her downstairs to roll on the crap table ... and you know what ... the young lady did really well ... we rode her for as long as we could ... I was shocked that neither the boxman, dealers, or other officials asked to card her ... at 21 my daughter looked like she was 16 years old.
