Any Fed fans out there that don't want Murray to finish this year at #1?

Do you want Murray to finish the year on top?

Just wondering cos I've noticed a lot of Fed fans lately cheering Andy on, almost willing him to finish the year at the summit. Of course I'm sure it has everything to do with having a sudden new found appreciation for his game and all the improvements he's made and absolutely nothing to do with not wanting Djokovic to equal their hero's tally of 5 YE#1(even though it's not even a record he holds) but I thought I'd pose the question anyway just to get a rough idea of how many RF fans are behind him.

Poll is up. Have at it and have fun.

Don't care about the 5 YE #1, Sampras has 6 so couldn't care less if Djoker equals Fed's 5.

Care about 302, very important record and anything that helps preserve that will be supported. Can't say I am actually emotionally involved in Murray's results however. But in the long run, I know it is for the best.

And I thought the Muzziah was supposed to be a prophet of the Goderer.

Seriously tho, I'm a Murray fan, so I'm not voting. I do think it would cement his place in tennis very much

After seeing the way Djoko tore up his T-shirt and destroyed his racket violently during his latest loss, it's hard to see how anyone besides his blind fangirls can stand him. The guy has zero class and zero humbleness.

Yes, worse than Kyrgios. That behavior is unacceptable coming from the world No. 1, someone who should represent the sport. I don't like Murray either, but I just think the tour is pretty stale and Murray getting No.1 would shake things up a little bit.

As a once semi-pro tennis player I want people like Murray to get that #1 spot for all his hard work and hovering.

Not to mention all the former #1s who did a lot less than him. Like Ferrero, Rios, Moya, etc.
Pretty much this.
If Murray gets it done, it will be very much deserved. IF, because I think folks are getting a bit ahead of themselves for this matter, not uncommon for this forum. ;)

I don't want Murray to end YE #1, I don't really want Djokovic to do it either...I guess I'd like Djokovic to finish YE #1 with both he and Murray losing all their matches for the rest of the year :D
Why do you want Djokovic to lose all his remaining matches NatF?

I just think it would be a hilarious end to the year if both he and Murray went win-less ;) Will make it easier for Federer to reclaim the top spot in 2017 as well :D

I'm cheering for Murray.
But he let me down so many times in the past so I don't know if he can make it done this time.

Ehh don't really care too much. Want Murray to reach #1 at some point though, would feel bad for him if he didn't.

I guess I'd prefer him over Novak though, makes for a better storyline for the end of the season.

I am sure there are some Federer fans who prefer Djokovic over Murray, regardless of Djokovic going for that 5th YE #1 or not.

It's funny though seeing some of them saying that if Murray does become #1 with less Slams and Masters that the ranking points don't lie yet when Murray finished ahead of Federer last year they were desperately calling Federer the real #2 for all sorts of reasons.

That's the only part you got it all wrong :D I don't want my Hero to lose his record to a (D)Joker indeed :p

I'm fully rooting for Andy to de-throne Novak, if only to silence the tons of arrogant Djokovic fanboys who were so adamant that their man was going to annihilate all of Federer's long-standing GOAT records in the space of a year.

Novak ending the year #2 would be an awesome way to end a thoroughly soul-crushing and depressing 2nd half of the season for these people.

Murray taking YE#1 for Djokovic would leave all the Nolefanboiz seething, which is a great prospect - maybe some of them would have a seizure from all that rage and despair at precious Nole dropping #1 and would stop polluting tennis boards.

On a personal level, I prefer neither between Mandy and Djovak, hence choosing my YE preference based on my experience on tennis boards. ;)

From my years of reading this forum, usually Federer fans dislike both players (was not the case in 2011 though until the US Open...). Right now they probably dislike Murray less than Djokovic.

I am a Djokovic fan but I am sort of rooting for Murray to end the year #1 as I think it will be his only shot. I have no doubt Djokovic will easily breaks the weeks at #1 record eventually anyway, so that part is no bother.

Well im sure i can speak for a lot of Fed-fans. The Maestronians cheering for Andy is mainly because we dont want Novak to beat Fed's slam record and weeks as nr 1 record. Actually it has close to zero to do with Nole himself, just that we want the records. And of course we will appreciate a little help from Andy;)

I have no problem with Nole finishing YE#1, he deserves that with 2 slams, 1 final and Masters titles. If Andy takes it its because of injuries.

Don't really care. I didn't even realise Murray was that close. That said, two slams is better than 1 slam.

Absolutely. I have suddenly found appreciation for his, ahem, style (*throws up in mouth*) and recent major improvements - the deeper pushing, the higher moonballs, the louder screaming, the whiter, hyena-like dentures, the more colourful (black and white are colours, right?) outfits.

Go Andy ;)

I think if Murray got to #1 it would be a great culmination of all his efforts over the years so I guess in that way I'm "rooting" for him, but I'm way past the point of caring who finishes #1 when I'm not a fan of either player. The last time I "cared" was probably 2012, and even then I was happy enough that Federer even got to #1 in the first place for a few weeks.

Plus, in the Murray-Djokovic case there is a natural tendency, as with any sport, to root for the underdog. In this case, that's Murray whether you're a Federer fan or not. So really unless you are a Djokovic fan and/or have some personal vendetta against Murray, you're probably "rooting" for Murray.

Doesn't matter. It's fraudulent weak era crap either way.

Better later than never, with the YE#1 for Andy will truly seal his status as a Big 4 member.
Most Fed fans are somewhat double standards with Andy, mainly because his bad record against Nole and Rafa in big matches, but also thanks to Andy (and Wawrinka), Djokovic and Nadal are not closer/over Federer, so it all evens out.

Ah yes the prodigal clown Djokovic2011 has returned with his usual passive aggressive bs. The guy is a master at this genre.

Yes, I would like to see Murray achieve the YE #1 (although I doubt he will.) Why? Because a lot of these Djokovic fans on TTW have been unbearable over the past two years with their delusional talk about how Djokovic is going to do what no other player in history has done and dominate for all eternity. All good things come to an end. :)
