Any Federer fanatics care that Federer may not finish 2019 in Top 3?

This would also be the first year since 2002 that Federer has not been ranked No. 2 or higher at any point during the season.
Nice observation, but not really relevant IMO. In the first half of the year the ranking has more to do with the last season than the new one, so for example Federer being #2 for some time early in 2013 or 2016 doesn’t have anything to do with his level in those quite forgettable seasons.

No because he's old, no because he's post prime, no because young generation, no because younger rivals, no because mono, no because pretty backhand, no because he continually amazes by improving and adapting yet somehow is worse than before.

Think that about covers it.

What leads you dislike Federer so much?

To be honest medvedev has been better this year with the results so unless federer wins paris/wtf him finishing lower wouldn't mean unfair by any measure.

Not really. Medvedev right now deserves #3 the way he has been playing. 2 masters titles is impressive. He has also made NINE finals this year....thats pretty impressive as well. Granted he only won 4 of them but 9 finals in one year...and counting...he deserves to be where he is.

Nope. Don't care. Just would like another slam or two. If that doesn't happen, it's still OK. Records are made to be broken.

All that matters for Fed going into slams is that he is ranked / seeded in the top 4. Dropping out of that opens him up to a potentially tougher quarter final.
