Another pinoy here. We have a tennis association in Union City, CA which is predominantly pinoys and pinays. Visit our site and sign our guest book. The URL is www.uctaonline.com. If you happen to be around Union City, come by for a hit. There are players of different NTRP levels there almost all the time. Feel free to introduce yourself to whoever you find there. The folks there are quite friendly (not just to kababayans).
If you belong to something similar, please post the URL. It is always nice to be able find a place to play when you are not at your "home" courts.
I might just come up there and check it out. I haven't played in a very long time and I need to get back my timing.
Feel free to drop in. The park we play out of has 6 lighted courts and a U shaped wall which is perfect for warming up while waiting for a court. When you get there just start doing some walling if there are no courts available or you don't have someone to hit with. Eventually, someone will approach you specially if you seem friendly.
What are the days and times people are usually there? Are you out there often?
I'm a filipino and looking for Filipno club Fil-Am tennis club here in New York,,Long Island or Queens. please email me at jamesbbbbb@hotmail.com

Hello Pinoys,
Originally from Cebu. Now residing here in Carson City, CA. Any filipino tennis groups here in SoCal?
Where do you play in Carson? Veteran's Park?
Calas Park, Victoria Park, Lomita Park, and if all else fails, I go to a gated subdivision near Cal State Dominguez Hills where we could stay until 10pm.
Strangely enough we haven't played at Veterans. Maybe because it's always full.
I haven't been to Silverado. Banning park I went there also but it's full both times we went there. Also, at Wilson Park, I saw lots of good people there. I haven't played with anybody else other than my friends as I'm still trying to practice more on my game.
Do you know any clay courts near here?

Yes actually, there are 3-4 clay courts at the Racquet Club of Irvine (RCI). Its a very expensive tennis club, you gotta be a high level junior or pro to play there for free. I got to play there a few times while in the Graziano Tennis Academy.
Oh yeah? I'm also looking into good academies. I want to improve my game. How's Graziano academy?
Yeah where all tha pinay womenz at?!
I'm also wondering the same thing. LOL.
