Any Filipinos out there??

My GF's brother has been working at a resorts in Asia incl the Phliipines for the last 3 years , he and his buddies arecurrently in Borneo but the devastation due to typhoons seems to be very very bad.
My concern goes out to all Filipinos and their plight.
Anyone there right now that can give word?

This is the second year in a row that a super typhoon hit the southern region of the Philippines in December. Poor ecological management made the problem worst. I'm from the northern region which was not affected (not even a drop of rain). We experience several typhoons a year, and had our own "big one" earlier, although the death toll was not that high.

The Philippines is in the path of both the Pacific typhoon and earthquake belt. So while annual bouts with destruction is a given, deaths, much of which are preventable, are what hurt the most.

Screw the typhoon. National Hero manny pacman got KTFO'd. Thats way more devasting.
