Hey guys, so recently I have been focusing a lot on technique, however a lesson with a coach recently brought to attention the main problem with my game: footwork. He said I can easily become a 4-5 UTR (currently mid 2 UTR) if I really get into fixing my footwork, since the rest of my game technique wise is looking pretty good for my level at the moment. I will link my most recently rallying session here and you guys can skip to the part where I play a 10 point game and that’s where I really tried focusing on moving more. Can you guys point out specifically what I can do to improve my footwork? Like any important drills or if in any point in the video where footwork was the main cause for losing the point, and ways to prevent that from happening in the future? I can see visually that I kind of just stop moving in the middle of rallying, but even on the points where I AM moving I always seem to be missing something. Please let me know anything drills/tips guys can think of!

Footwork intensity needs to be higher. Get used to large first step and small adjustment steps before setting the feet for hitting. Start from behind center of the baseline. Learn the footwork patterns to split step, move 2-3 steps, hit and recover. Do this for 8 directions. Return of serve footwork is also really important. Ball striking looks great, especially on forehand. Ready steps between shots looking good too.
