There will be an update, the dates right now are up in the air, partly due to Pandemic and the fact the face of the Pro Staff, Roger, is done for 2020.

Cosmetic wise.. matte black with exposed carbon fiber at the tip of the hoop. The regular PS has the OG red/yellow pin stripes on the shaft IIRC. I think on the RF97 the pin stripes were gray? There were some pics floating around ..wish I had saved them

That would be a good decision to have no more countervail. Pro Staffs are known for their feel and connectedness to the ball. Countervail took that away which is completely counter intuitive for the Pro Staff line.

The artwork that I saw wasn't final but there was mention of some sort of 45 degree fiber construction for supposed enhanced pocketing, string mapping for better control etc. Sounded very 'marketing' based but who knows. There's also a new butt cap design.

There are minor cosmetic differences with a different font for the Pro Staff wording, a thin red/yellow line on the throat area for the PS97, and a thin grey/white line on throat the RF97. Both racquets are still 99% black, so there's hardly any difference in the way they look.

Scheduled for release at the end of Sep / early Oct but that may get pushed back.
