Any tennis obsessives in Boston/Greater Boston?

Hey TTers, I just moved back home to the Boston area from GA and I'm looking to get plugged into the tennis scene here. I've got an old 4.5 USTA rating but spent the past year playing open-level ALTA league tennis (we won the city championship a few weeks ago!).

Even though I'm from the area, I've never had to find tennis in/around Boston as an adult. Looking to play leagues, tournaments, weekly singles/doubles for fun, casual hitting...anything!

Does anyone have the lay of the land re: quality tennis in/around Boston? Any friends, friends of friends, etc. who might know? Anyone want to hit? Haven't played in a few weeks due to the move and don't want to get much rustier! Shoot me a PM or reply here if you can help!

https://www.tennisnortheast.com/ runs popular singles flex leagues (up to you to schedule matches at mutually agreed upon times and locations) organized by skill level from ~2.5 to ~ 4.5. It's outdoors only with the spring season scheduled to start on March 29.

https://sportsmenstennis.org/adult/ runs Friday night open mixed doubles play. I've never been, but my experience with other open plays is that they mainly attract ~3.0 ~3.5 players.

https://nstmen.tenniscores.com/ is an indoor doubles-only league (5 lines) that plays from September through April with 4.5 ("A"), 4.0 ("B"), and 3.5 ("B1") levels. It plays through clubs north of the city. If you're interested, you could try calling the clubs to see if their teams are looking for players or if they have any other opportunities for play at your level (e.g, they know of members who are looking for partners at your level).

Thanks for the suggestions, guys! Appreciate it. Keep them coming if possible.

Definitely looking to play through the winter, so thinking I might have to join a local club or get in with an established group. (I've heard about a group of 5.0s who play at the Harvard courts.) I was on a very strong Open team in Atlanta, but I know that "perfect storm" might be tricky to replicate in Boston. Happy to get in with any solid players close to the city and let the rest take care of itself.

If anyone else sees this and might have additional leads, please reach out!

Hey OP, I will get in touch when I visit in the Spring. I play outdoors down to 34F as long as the wind is not too strong here in DC. But the colder it gets the fewer guys willing to play. Now 4.5 but improving still. Only played in HS.

4.0 player here, north of Boston. I frequently hit with 4.5 players, happy to hit with you once things up in the spring.

The suggestions from Merwin are good ones. There are strong 4.5 teams part of the NorthShore league if you want to join that group. USTA also has good 4.5 leagues but you would need to join a club, which I guess would depend on your location.

Westboro Swim and Tennis has a pretty big singles ladder (around 50 people) and you will find 4.5 and higher tennis near the top but it can sometimes be hard to find time slots to play with how popular that club is. Kingsbury club (Medfield) has a smaller ladder but also good competition at the top and finding court time is easy.
