Why does reducing number of cross strings increase spin potential. Shouldnt only the mains be affecting ball traction for topspin?

Less cross strings mean the mains have less pressure applied by the crosses and can move more easily,. This enables more spin to be generated, as per the Wilson S spin racquets and Prince ESP racquets.
