Anyone have experience ofwilson six one 95s vs. wilson pro staff 97s?

I think the 6.1s is a much more playable frame. The 97s has a funky balance / other specs, so it feels a lot more limiting and lot less user friendly to generate about the same result.

Unless you are some sort of stiff power hitting player who likes spin patterns, I would stick with the 6.1s. I think even TW Chris had it as his primary frame for a while.

I have both and like both a lot. They both are exceptional control oriented frames with added spin potential. I would give the edge to the Six One 95S due to its balance, maneuverability and more power. I would say the Pro Staff 97S has more control, but it's pretty close between the two.

I own the 6.1 95s, the PS 95s and first 97s.

Power-97s>6.1 95s>95s
Serves 97s>6.1 95s>95s
Volleys 95s> 6.1 95s>97s 97s I just do not volley well as 95s
Control 95s> 97s>6.1 95s
Ease of playing 6.1 95s>95s>97s
Comfort 97s>95s>6.1 95s -easier to hit sweet spot on 97s otherwise the 95s would be tops

For what it's worth the go to racket day in and day out for me is the Prostaff 95s. The only thing missing is a little more power. The 6.1 has more power and hits a bigger ball but is not as comfy as the prostaff so it gets least of playing time. When I am on though, the 97s comes out as it has the best combination of all.
I've got mine to around 7 pts HL but it's still the most demanding stick out of the three. The prostaff is around 10 pts HL and the 6.1 is stock balance.
I've put a hybrid in it to see if it will help the volleys but have not had a chance to play with it.

.02 worth
