Anyone here possibly playing ITF Futures in Eastern Europe this summer?

Bulgaria, Romania, Poland, Czech Rep', Croatia, etc...

Just curious. I'm scraping nickels together to give it a shot (if I can sublet my place. I can't afford 'the road' and the nut here while my apt. lays empty for 3 months!).

Seeing what route anyone might be considering, possibilities of sharing some expenses along the way - maybe. etc., or anyone with previous experience on the area's tourneys?

All feedback appreciated.

I may play some futures in Serbia this summer.
Maybe in some other countries as well depending on my form coming to the summer season.
I am from Russia BTW. :)

DM: Thank you.

Serbia: 3 events? June 13-27th? (By the way: why is the listed end of the schedule June 27th - for everywhere!?? Do you know of a full-2011schedule?)

By the way; I am also looking at Croatia and Montenegro as a possible home. Have you been to either, and have any thoughts?

I think there is a schedule only till the end of July on ITF website. I am not sure how many tournaments I gonna play, depending on how much my parents sponsor me lol.
I've never been to Croatia or Montenegro, but I have a friend who lives in Serbia. Montenegro is very nice, I've heard. Croatia is a very good place for tennis.
I'm trying to figure out my schedule for the summer, so that I would keep the costs for travelling as low as possible. I plan to play about 3 futures and some ITF's too, since it's my last year I can play U18.

DM,

Since you are somewhat in the area, can you tell me what you know of lodging costs per night, generally?

30E? 50-60E?? MORE? I have a potential sponsor, and I need to get some realistic ideas of costs per day/week/month.

Also, transportation to next city/country?? Trains? Share ride?

Better to rent a camper van?

Any information is appreciated.

If you want the best chance to qualify go the ones in Africa or Southeast Asia. Cambodia had one last year that barely had a qualie field and they were mainly unranked Cambodians.

Did you play S/E Asia? Experiences?

I'm headed east partially due to the fact that I am looking at relocating, and I recently played a moving-up 800's ATP player in a very close match, and he said I'd have a lot of fun over there, and could probably do pretty well, too, so.....

Wouldn't mind checking out Asia at some point. I lived in Hong Kong, and visited a lot of the countries on the tour there, but that tour is now ending due to the hot-season starting, and it can be murder over there with heat and humidity! I remember 44c (111f!!) and 90%+ humidity.....wow...

Tennis?...............No thanks! :-?
