anyone knows how to tighten a babolat star II center clamp base??

my babolat star II has a loose center clamp base. I took it off but it seems that it doesn't have the hex hole (samiliar to the one in star III) that i can use to adjust the tightness. I tried to adjust the 2 screws on both sides of the clamp locking lever itself but it doesn't do much. I've also taken off the locking lever and everything seems to be find inside. Finally I took the clamp base off itself itself and it seems to be a little loose against the sliding rail. However after much playing around, i still don't know where or hot wo actually tighten. can anyone please help??

It looks very similar to Alpha rails and clamps. On the 2nd picture, down near the VS logo, on the end, is there a hole in the round part of the clamp (That's how my Alpha clamps work)? If so, you position the clamp perpendicular to the rail, insert an Allen wrench that should have come with the machine, and turn it clockwise to tighten. If there's no hole, I have no idea what you'd do. I don't see any other way on the pictures you included.

did you try calling babolat or tennismachines.. they'll be able to fix/replace it, for a cost however,

it makes me wonder why you didn't try it out before you bought it

i did call tennis machine and they asked for a fee (expected) to get this tuned.

I'm new to tennis stringing so i did not know exactly what to expect when picking up a machine. so, sort of lesson learned.

Adjusting Star II Clamp base

You showed a picture of the hole in the clamp base. All you need to do is spin the glide rail around until the adjustment hole shows up in the port hole of the clamp. I think you will need a 3mm hex wrench to adjust the movement of the lever. Don't give up, the adjustment hole has got to be there. Hold the clamp stationary and turn the rail while viewing thru the port hole. You should see the adjustment hole.

Like Albert said, the hole is in the base. Just turn the base until you see the Allen screw inside. Then, use an Allen "key" to tighten it. You usually have to wiggle the base back and forth a little to get the Allen key into the hole, as the opening inside the hole isn't that big.

thanks for all the reply. this is an older model babolat star so the hole was not built in to the base. however to tighten it, i removed the babolat cover that is shown in this picture. After removing the cover, you'll have access to the base assembly and a 1/4 hex key right turn did the trick.
