Anyone playing with RS (Soderlings) strings? New string coming.

I tried the 1.25mm in a hybrid with multi crosses. It's like a more comfortable Cyberflash, and a little more muted. It lasts a long time too. Good value at $10.

I used RS Lyon for a while, got a set as a trial from there UK Distributor, lasted me easy 3 weeks in a gut hybrid

Y'know, I hate teasers. I know they're really good for marketing but by the time the product comes out you've already over-hyped yourself. I'd be even more hyped for the string if I just saw it available and ready to buy. After all the over-hype I'll forget about the string and never use it until a year from now when somebody mentions it. Lol, at least a real release date would help.

LOL! I agree! But hopefully "this summer" means really soon. Not that I need a new string at the moment (even though I'm not settled on one), but since Lyon got really good reviews I'm hoping it could be a really nice string.

I've now consumed one reel of RS Lyon 1,25 and liked it so much that I got myself two more reels during Easter when Robin's site had a great offer for Swedish customers. Around 70 Euros per 220m reel I believe I payed. Great string as it is and great as a cross string with gut mains which is what I use in my PT57A at the moment.

Have you ever tried Hawk or Hawk Touch? If so, how does Lyon compare to either of them?

I have tried Hawk and I have a set of Hawk Touch that I haven't put on any racquet yet. The Hawk and RS Lyon are not mile apart but I think the Hawk is little crisper feeling whereas the Lyon is comfortably muted. Tension maintenance of the Lyon is really great which permits me to string at a low 46/44 pounds without pre-stretch and without loosing anything in the control department. I can get back when I've tried the Touch with an update.

That'd be awesome, thank you. Hawk is my favourite string on my RFA, and I'm about to try the Touch version as well. Biggest problem with Touch for me, if I'll like it more than the regular Hawk, is the price: it's simply way too expensive for my wallet. Heard Lyon and Touch are VERY close, so if that's true at all I'll save a lot of money by getting Lyon instead of Touch.

Like the statement above I found it similar to the Head Hawk line too. As mention tension Maintenance is great ( RS Lyon on mains/diadem impulse on crosses ) and I thought it had a very good feel/touch when matched up with a hybrid.

We are the very few to have inventory of RS Lyon and other products and for the quality of the product this would definitely be a go to.

The RS Paris string is now on his Instagram page and on the rs-tennis website. Based on the description of that string and the reviews of RS Lyon it could be a great string - but for €19 a set (!) it will be tough to sell.

I have played with both and Hawk is my current string of choice. A bit more crisp, firmer feeling then RS. RS will feel a bit more comfortable but muted. Control is quite good on both and Hawk certainly has more spin potential.
