Anyone tried string savers?

Thinking about getting the Babolat string savers, around $9.
Want to get more life out of my multi setup which lasts about 10 hours.
How does it affect feel, power, spin?
How much does it extend string life?
Difficult and time-consuming to install?

I've been using them of late on full gut setups to extend life of the string job....which it seems to by 2-3x subjectively at least. Easy to install. I can't tell the difference in feel/power/spin terms. I do find I end up having to straighten strings less often with the savers in there than without so I guess they are snapping back better...which you might imagine imparts more spin (cf. comments about poly strings sliding seen elsewhere) but I couldn't actually feel a difference.

When you say you want to use it for multi and that it lasts about 10 hours, let's clarify something here:

- Does it snap in 10hours?
- Does it die in 10hours?

I'm asking because either way, it may not be worthwhile for multi's, because they lose playability overtime to the point where some people cut them out. So that's something you need to figure out.

But to answer your questions:
- They affect feel ever so slightly. The more you put on, the stiffer it will feel. So just put them on the sweetspot and don't go ape **** with them.
- They extend durability a LOT. But again, once your strings are dead, do you want to keep them on your frame?
- They're extremely easy to install.

Side note, the reason why natural gut users use string saver because gut plays well throughout its life on the racquet. As in, it doesn't die and its playability remains relatively constant. They're good until they snap.

Actually, I have a multi/poly setup which snaps in 5 hours so I want to extend the life of the multi. I just installed some gamma string savers and it was pretty painless. Will give it a hit today and let you know how it goes.

Thanks for the responses!
