These don't seem to be quite as popular as the old Viper II and other NFS series, though maybe it's still too early to tell. Anyone have some play experience with them? They don't seem to have quite the bells and whistles of some of the other Prince shoes, but maybe that helps keep the price lower also. Absolutely loved my old NFS Excelerators, and am finding the Viper IIs to be a decent shoe also (though not as good IMHO as the Excelerator 1.4 in almost any facet)....was wondering how these new Freaks stacked up? Thanks...

These new Prince Freaks look a lot like the new NFS Precision Low 2002/2003 shoes to me. They appear to have the exact same soles and NFS foot shape. I found the Precisions to be very comfortable with a very roomy toebox, however, the durability is terrible. The tread becomes smooth and the toe area wears out and holes develop very quickly. I usually rotate between 4 or 5 pairs of shoes, but if I had been wearing the Precisions exclusively, I don't think they would have lasted much more than a month, maybe two at the most.

I like the way the Freaks look, but perhaps the reason they are priced low is because you'll need to buy 6 or 7 pairs a year. That's what's scaring me away from them. Anyone else have any actual experience with the durability of the Freaks?
