Hi, anyone using the Wilson K Factor KSurge racquet, how do you like it? I am looking for a more arm friendly racket, have been using Babolat Pure Drives. I am coming off of a shoulder injury, that may be attributable to the Babs..........any feedback is appreciated.

I bought one on sale last year. Good racquet for a light, fun hit, or for the casual player. Maneuverable, comfortable, pretty good power, stable for its weight, good spin, decent feel. It's a nice racquet, but honestly if you hit against anyone with real power it doesn't have enough beef to stand up to a heavy ball. It's an good beginner/intermediate stick.

Don't listen to the stuff about it not being able to stand up to a heavy ball, one of the best juniors I know uses one and has gone to nats the last few years.

I respectfully disagree. How old is this kid? How big are the kids he is hitting against? A great player may use any racquet, but that doesn't mean it's good for a heavy ball -- it just means his game can compensate for it.

How many adults in hard hitting competitive leagues are swinging sticks with a swingweight of 301?

Just got one and I'm working with it. I have more control and it's a great racquet to learn with I believe. If you mishit it lets you know. Doesn't "plow through" the shots like heavier racquets. Feels good in the hand. Let's you really feel how you are contacting the ball, but is somewhat unforgiving.

Just switched last month from a Dunlop AG500 (similar specs to the KSurge) to a Radical OS for similar reasons. Arm-friendly, amazing at the net, and a sweetspot that makes it almost impossible to do something with the ball as long as you make contact. I use the Liquidmetal version, and more recent iterations (Microgel and Youtek) have even lighter swingweights. A must-demo if Babolat stiffness is getting to you.

i leaded a couple of the k surges up to 12.3 and 12.6 in the handle and leather grips on top. i've never served harder in my life than with these racquets strung at 62 with full lux alu power. they felt more solid than babolat pure drive roddicks and pocketed the ball much better. the stability was pretty spot on too.
