Really interested in this one to get a bit more on the serve, however how did people find manouverability generally and of course serve power
For someone who is returning to the game after having been away for the last 10 years, I say good luck trying to control the power of any Pure Aero.
Good luck to your arm.I'm gonna ramp the string tension to 59-60!
If you're looking for an extended racket the new ezone 98+ is significantly better imo. Not as much spin but much more control. Although something is wrong with me. I just can't play babolat frames. I demoed the pure aero plus and after 20 minutes it was the first to be put away permanently for the week I had demos. My brother took a 10 minute spin with it and hated it as well, while also preferring the yonex.
Might want to read this thread by the OP and then see if you still think the PA+ is good fit.The 2019 Pure Aero Plus is surprisingly comfortable for a Babolat. The Cortex changes worked IMO. I've had a lot of elbow problems with other Babolats but not this one. It's very powerful on serves and the manueverability isn't bad for an XL frame. The swing weight is surprisingly low for a 300g XL frame; most in this category are pushing 340 or more. Don't listen to the guys who say that the Pure Aero is so powerful it can't be controlled. I guarantee you that none of the people making these comments hit harder than Nadal. The frame is designed for topspin though, so if you are flat hitter it may not be a good fit.

Babolat is much stiffer as well which for me is now an issue (and what that good luck to your arm comment was above). If you're in the US try out the TW demo racket program. I'm sure you probably already know, but no reason not to try them out given how cheap it is.
Great I'm going to demo this one along with the Wilson Clash and Pure Drive ! What string tension did you use by the way
I use Solinco Tour Bite 16ga at 53 mains / 50 crosses. I've also tried a few other setups. I would definitely stick with poly. RPM Blast works well too, but it's more expensive without really being any better. I prefer shaped poly in this frame to really maximize that spin.
I tried a multi in my PA+ once for fun. The open string pattern and spin grommets eat them up quickly. I’m not a big string breaker by any means but mine were still ready to pop after a couple sessions.Hmmm thanks traditionally I put 60 lbs synthetic gut Babolat Excel in my previous Babolat stick.... how do you think this will work out in the Aero. Might just try it initially see how it goes as in my previous stick (VS NCT Tour - racquet no one ever knows or talks about) that was a combination with perfect control and power hitting lines on serves consistently etc. I really want an updated version of that ideally.... I might even email Babolat for advice here!

Pure Aero + improved on everything I felt was missing from the 27in Pure Aero: Stability, more comfortable, little more muted, more power and spin. It is the most maneuverable plus length racquet I've ever used, and I've tested a ton of them. Even with improved comfort and less brassy feel over the standard length, it caused me elbow pain when strung with full poly after long sessions. I really wanted to switch to this racquet, and tried tightly strung multi, but it broke during tiebreaker in the first set of singles. Hybrid also gave me arm pain. For me, really needed full poly to get the best results....but after couple weeks of testing, full poly gave me arm pain after every match, so I moved on. I would highly recommend giving the Diadem Nova Plus (with a little lead at 3 and 9). I settled on the Diadem Elevate Tour for now, mostly because I preferred the feel. But the power, stability, and spin of the Aero Plus is just addictive!
