Anyone who has hit with the new Head Graphene 360+ Speed Pro?

I wonder if there is anyone who has hit with the new Head Graphene 360+ Speed Pro.

I found only one thread regarding this frame, and it seems like so far there are not many who have hit with it.

I have played with Pure Strike Project One (16X19) for two years, and I want to try something new. I have tried Wilson Blade V7 (18X20), but the swingweight felt a little heavy to me. I also tried Head Gravity MP, which was a tad light and low-powered for my taste.

If those of you who have hit with the new Speed Pro can share your thought on it, I would appreciate it!

I'm curious as well. I've been a casual fan off and on for a few years. The power levels on TU look like this version would be in my range.

The reviews on youtube definitely help and I appreciate those who uploaded them here!

Is there any club player who has hit with this frame and can compare with other racquets such as pure strike, blades, and gravity that I have played and tested? My local pro shop does not have this new Speed Pro for demo yet.

Thanks!

The new speeds plays much like the old speeds. I think in regards of balance it is well balanced , more so equally balanced because of the weight distribution of the graphene around the hoop. It feels more solid and stable. In addition of the spiral fibers , you can hit without a vibration dampener . I played the original graphene speed pro for the past 5 years . You can definitely tell the difference in weight distribution and quality of materials . The new 360+ are more equally balanced and plays much like the previous speeds with power , spin , and control minus the vibration and harshness of the earlier graphene speed pro .

I got two hours of hitting with Prestige Pro and I love this racquet. It offers what the Blade v7 16x19 was missing and that is power. I really enjoy the feel of the Pro and surprised it wasn't that harsh on the arm. This racquet might just be off people's radar but definitely add this to your demo.

It came strung with some poly and multi combo so I need to switch it out for Hyper-G to unleash the full power of the racquet. Very happy I demo this racquet since it plays amazing for a 16x19 frame. The 95 sq inch doesn't seem that small compare to my Blade v7 18x20 so I didn't have problems getting use to it. The head shape is just a tad bit longer but that didn't seem to bother me. Serves was easier to get around with the Prestige Pro compared to my Blade v7 18x20 so that is a huge plus.

I will still keep my Blade v7 18x20 since I think that is one of the best racquets on the market but Prestige Pro has some potential and I need some more time hitting with it to provide a detailed review.

Thank you for your post, and it sounds like this new version is better than the previous ones. I hope to be able to demo it soon!

So, you are talking about Prestige Pro, not Speed Pro, right?:) I am glad to know that Prestige Pro plays excellent and I will demo it too!
Thanks!

Yes, the Prestige Pro is worth a demo.

Thanks for the suggestion and I will demo Prestige Pro as well!

Is there any frame comparable to blade v7 18X20? I have been using pure strike 16X19 (2016) and tested blade v7 18X20, and it felt a little head-heavy to me. I liked the feel and power of blade, but I thought it is not so much maneuverable. Then I tried gravity mp and it felt great, but I needed more mass behind the ball. I have not tried the new speed pro yet, but I hope it works like blade but head-lighter and more maneuverable.

If you have any other suggestion, please let me know!

In general large frame size tends to decrease maneuverability but it also depends on what head shape you prefer. I have tried the Gravity Tour and felt that I loss racquet speed due to the tear drop shape. I think it all depends on your hitting style but I tend to stick with 98 sq inch frames. Even though 95 sq inch are even more maneuverable, it also has a smaller sweet spot so it's really trying to find a balance between the two and that can only be done by demoing racquets.

I don't think there is a frame comparable to the Blade v7 18x20 since it offers comfort, stability, plow, and control which is really rare for a retail racquet. Pro stocks are on a different level so I won't go there.

The Speed Pro is an improvement over the previous generation and is solid and stable and has good power. You can still feel a ping if you hit towards the outer edge of the racquet.

The newer racquets have a ping sound but is also more well balanced . The materials are even in stability and plow thru. You can hit a heavy ball without any modifications and at stock . I settled for the prestige mp 360+ at 320gm unstrung it comes out to 330sw and 7HL. It doesn’t have this hollow feel of the graphene speed pro 1st gen that needed lead tape. It feels very well balanced and has a more stable throat. The new 360+ all do . They don’t need vibration dampener.

Tecnifibre TF40 305 with a slight lead at 12 is better feeling Blade V7 18x20

Thank you for your great suggestions, and I will try to demo Prestige Pro, Gravity Tour, and TF40 as well when I become free from the fear of corona virus!:)

If the new speed pro feels a little head-lighter and easier to use than blade 18X20, I think it would fit to my need. It rains a lot in LA and I need to babysit my child next week, so I am not sure when I will be actually able to demo it though.:(

Hope to hear more suggestions of racquet and feedbacks about the new speed pro!

Speed Pro is easier to use than the Blade but feels more hollow when you don't hit the sweet spot. On mishits, the Blade doesn't feel as jarring.

I agree that the feel of blade 18x20 that I tested is great! The impact of ball felt quite plush but the frame felt very stable. Power seemed to drop when I hit the outside of the sweet spot, but you are right that it didn't feel jarring. The only issue for me was it felt a little sluggish and the frame felt almost like even-balanced to me.

I hope I can try the new head speed pro probably next week along with other suggested frames. Thanks for your comment!

The sluggish feel might be due to the poor Wilson quality control. I would figure out what SW you can use and then get a racquet that has that spec from TW matching racquet service. It comes in real handy to make sure you are testing each racquet with the same specs to avoid other factors that might contribute to the poor playtest.

I had demo the new head rackets in February before they were even out . My local shop had the demos . I had 3 demos : speed pro 360+ , prestige mp 360+, and gravity pro . Coming from the graphene speed pro for 5 years I knew what I was searching for . The new speed pro didn’t disappoint me. However when I played the prestige mp I noticed the newly engineered sweet spot higher on the stringbed and smaller too. I had more control and felt this nice ping sensation without any graphene harshness. It was very smooth and soft but had a well balanced stable feel through the head and throat . It also was less powerful than the speed pro , but let me have smooth strokes and I began to develop more compact swings on the weeks to come . Just what I was searching for . I didn’t get to demo the gravity pro even though I had the demo . But my son was interested in it . So it helped him work on something to look forward to when he gets stronger from his speed touch lite .

I ordered 2 new prestige mp 360+ from my shop and received them on Presidents’ Day .

I strung this up with VS gut and Hawk Touch at 44lbs mains and 40lbs crosses and compared to full bed of Hyper-G, it felt softer but not plush. I was hoping gut would soften the frame more but that did not happen. It does not feel as good as what the demo came with which was a Head poly mains and multi cross.

So far, I like the racquet but comparing this against the Clash 98 and possible getting a Prestige Mid to compare as well.
