Last match on Show Court 2. Televised in Australia on Foxtel Fox Sports.
I think Wawrinka will have too much game for Dimitrov. Wawrinka in 4, but hope Grigor proves me wrong.
wawa will most likely win. just to much experience if he's on. however you never know. whats the approximate match time ?
This is the kind of match I wish ESPN would televise but I know they won't; instead they'll give us a replay of Venus vs. some Russian
Dimitrov in 4.
I'm got a feeling.
Maybe it's just that burrito I ate, but still....
Ljubicic is on at the moment, up 1 set against Paire. Looks like a straight forward win for Ljubicic, followed by Bartoli vs Manasieva. I'd say wawrinka and dimitrov hit the court in 3 hrs time. Maybe? AO is so unpredictable.
LjubeCheck needs to steamroll here.
I want to see Dimitrov, damn it!
What kind of burrito?
The Mexican kind?
No other kind of burrito is there?
Ljubo is down a break in the 2nd set =(... might be in for another long match. gonna head to the gym, hopefully when i come back bartoli has wiped her opponent off the court!
I think wawa in 3
Could, be chicken, bean, steak, poblano pepper, you get the idea
Hallelujah Match Starts Soon!
Lets see what Grigor's really got.
Wooo. Go Grigor!
Wawrinka working over Pascal!
When did Wawrinka start running back to the baseline (a la Nadal), after the coin toss??
More like the other way around, interesting to see if Pascal favours Wawrinka with the line calls. lmao.
2 mins left of warm up!!
Wondering how Dimitrov does in backhand to backhand rallies. Stan's onehander is one of the best.
Can anyone tell me somethin about Dimitrov's strength and weaknesses? Bh, forehand, serve? Any good?
We'll see. About to serve!
Man, the stands are empty! Don't ppl know?
@ joeri888 Dimitrov is a very solid all-rounder apparently. The only question mark is his movement.
Commentators just said Dimitrov has been practicing with Federer in the off-season!
^^ His serve is consistent and powerful, it's not unusual to see him score several aces a set along with more unreturnables.
His forehand is good, but nothing extraordinary.
His backhand seems to be very good.
The problem is mostly consistency and brain farts.
Nice opening game.
So he got good variety and a decent serve, and a onehander and he's hyped as the next Federer. Really nothing new at TW then. If your forehand isn't awesome, there's not much chance you're the next Federer, even if you can play extraordinary points.
But thanks to both of you.
Wawa in three.
Early break for Stanislas.
3 BP's for Dimi to get back on serve
2-2 back on serve
Is he gonna take after Fed's BP conversion aswell?
Grigor breaks back!
Nice. 2 all, back from the start.
As well? Have seen NOTHING that suggests he's like Federer. He doesn't look like Federer at all. His forehand isn;'t very beautiful, and haven't seen anything special from his backhand slice. I understand this guy is very talented and very young, but he doesn't seem to look like Federer in strengths/weaknesses at all.
God how smooth is the Backhand!
Forehand silky smooth too!
Dimi holds at Love
Huh. I didn't know there are actually Bulgarians in the crowd.
It's kind of weird!
I hope he breaks again.
It’s obvious he modeled his game / strokes after Fed. He has his own style so they don’t look %100 but that’s a good thing. The last thing we need is another Rampras. He’s obviously nervous as well.
I guess it's natural that he's nervous. He's holding up well though.
I was just playing into the myth that he's "The Next Federer", "Baby-Federer", "Bulgarian-Federer" and so on. I don't think so myself, was just goofing around a bit.
Chinese Federer
His got quite a following! Dimitrov that is.
Wawa in four seems like the logical choice. The youngster has got a pretty good serve and might actually snatch a set.
FOREHAND DROPSHOT! It Is Federer!
Pretty impressiv up to now. I'm curious to see if he has the nerves in a tie-breaker
interesting to see how his nerves hold up in a tie-break. cause that looks like that's where this 1st set is heading.
Dimitrov's ROS is horrendous
Wawa breaks... leading 6-5.
Wawrinka breaks! and will serve for the first set
Seems to me Wawrinka easily dominates most of those back court rallies.
his shot selection is poor. He has the shots, just needs the big match experience which he's getting now. He needs to consider this a lesson. He's obviously outmatched against Stan in this aspect.
0-40 Wow, dude is on FYRE!
